Here is a suggestion about what to do with your license plate.
I have Off Your Rocker corner protectors, and I agree that Dan is great
to do business with.
Most of the TJ owners I know that do serious off road trails have bent
up their license plate and crunched the plastic holder. I have replaced
my plastic plate mount a couple of times, ($16 from a Jeep dealer). I
got tired of this so I took the mount off and drilled and tapped 4 holes
for the plate and just molded it around the corner. Nothing has touched
the plate since then. I can't say the same for my poor fender flair.
OUCH!

I agree 100%, you can 't go wrong with Dan. He is great and his
products are unmatched. One side has covered up some bad body damage
and the other side just protected me from some more bad damage. I got
mine with the holes cut for flush tail lamps and smooth so I could paint
them to match my Jeep. Most people don't even know that they are there.
The best prices products AND service. You won't be disappointed.

I believe Scott Kruize has the ones you are referring to. I helped him
with the install. They cover the corner to the door. Very stout and
heavy. I thought about them but having a 4 cyl I think getting the
shorter ones that go to mid wheel would be wiser because they are
lighter. IMO.
Scott I am sure will give you more detail.

I looked at those and have considered them. They certainly are beefy. My

down as it is.. I think I'll go with the smaller ones like what Tim has.

Subject: White Tanks Closed?
Got this e-mail froma friend the other day:
-----
The State Land Department in conjunction with the Forest Service and
BLM are mapping the trails on State and Federal lands and trying to
determine if there is enough activity to warrant keeping them open.
They have hired an independent contractor who is running the trails
on quads and putting them on GPS track logs but there is no guarantee
our favorite trails will be mapped. If you have trails you want to
see stay opened you need to track it on a GPS, preferably a Garmin
GPS, and get it to Elliot Bartlett at ej.bartlett@w...
Trials in the White Tanks have already been closed due to lack of
response on trails in the area, even though ASA made them aware of at
least one trail out there used by 4-wheelers. Just knowing there is a
trail there is apparently not good enough for them, even coming from
a 3500 member association. They need to be overwhelmed with volume so
let's give it to them. They must figure one trail submitted, one
voice. So in addition to submitting your trail to Elliot to submit on
behalf of the ASA, please forward it to Tammy Pike at
tpike@l... The more responses we have on a specific trail,
the better the chances of keeping it open, supposedly.
For the same reasons, the better we are represented at the various
land meetings around the state, the more likely our voice will be
heard. Please get to every meeting you can. You don't have to say
anything, just show up, preferably in red so that we are identified
as the off road community.
-----
I posted a page here:
http://www.azrockcrawler.com/_images/landuse/landuse.html with a link
to a text file with the trails I have listed on my web site. Feel
free to use the list in your letters. I would also suggest that you
mention in the letter the need to give land users adequate time to
respond to projects like this and even suggest that initiatives like
this should be posted on signs somewhere near the magor entry points
to the areas in question.

Hello All,
David Withers is leading an Orvilleþs Loop trail run on Sunday, February 17, 2002.
When: 9:30 at the Texaco in FJ. Pull out by 9:45
Where:
Rating: 3.5+
Length: ?
CB Channel: 4
I have never run this trail, and need directions. Should be great weather this weekend. Also this is a 3.5+ trail, so it should be fun for all jeeps.
Orville's Loop will take you over almost every type of terrain; you will traverse washes, hills, rocks and then do them again. You will view the Gila River Valley, Florence and the East Phoenix Valley from the top. There will be moderate to hard rock climbs and ledges.
It takes some driving experience and a slightly modified vehicle. A rear traction device is required and this trail requires clearance and 31" or larger tires.
Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

I believe the only springs in the parking brake system are those at the
end of the cables that attach at each wheel and the spring in the parking
brake release mechanism. So it depends which spring they're talking
about replacing. It sounds like they're talking about the spring in the
release mechanism since they mention "spring" in the singular form. So,
if that's true, then it shouldn't matter what rear end you're running.

I hope You have been out to check the 4 wheel drive unit lately , while
it still in the off season per say..
I can safely say, everything is in fine working order and ready to go
for Ouray!
Let's see... I got a new rebuilt 360 with RV cam, for christmas, so I
can drive over. and the Tranny has been cleaned , new filter. new 10.5
33" tires, duel tanks are good.. the 4.09 gears should be no problem..
But I may still clean it up some more, and put on a fresh coat of paint
by then,... hehehe,..
Time is just flying by!!!!!
You guys better hurry up !!!!!!!
