On Feb 17th, I am putting on a benefit carwash to help raise money for my cousin, who was recently diagnosed with advanced terminal lung and brain cancer. She is 38 years old, and has 2 kids and a husband, who is a very close friend and wheeling buddy of mine. ALL the money will go to the family to help pay for medical bills, as they are in for a long and expensive fight for the next year. Any help in the washing, and supplies would be greatly appreciated, as well as anyone showing up and getting their Jeep washed. It will be a donation wash, so please come out and help out in any way you can. I am finalizing the details, but the wash is going to be held at Discount Tire Co. on 15th Ave and Bell Rd, on Saturday, Feb 17th starting at 9AM and going until around 3 PM. A huge thanks to Ken Murray, who is a Discount employee, and personal friend of mine for helping set this up. Hope to see you all there. I will keep this updated after tomorrow, when I talk to Ken's uncle, who is the manager of the Discount Tire store. Tell all your friends. Thank you all. And prayers would help a lot too.

Feb 17 is my B-day and I have other plans, so I can't make it for the car wash. However I would like to donate some $$. Do they have an account set up so people can donate? In other words how do I get them the money?

Anybody want to do this on the east side of town to help them out? I would be willing to donate a couple of hours of my time if anyone wishes to organize an event on this side of town.....

They have no clue I am doing this yet. I am going to go over on the day of the wash and steal their kids to help out, and then have them show up later. If you know someone who is around you that is coming, you can give them the cash. Thanks a ton Charlie.

The only thing I know about the east side is its great wheeling and awesome friends. But I am in the far west valley, so I will leave the whereabouts to you guys if you want to set it up.

we could set it up and at the end of the day count all the money we have earned then have someone who is trust worthy and not goin to stop by 4wheelers meet up with you and drop off the money

LOL, I wouldnt worry about the courier, I am sure no one in this group would think about......or actually steal the money. Too many great people here.

This is going to be postponed, I just found out yesterday one of my other cousins was murdered in Grand Jct, CO. I might have to take a run to CO this weekend. I will set this up again soon, thanks to all those who were interested.

Thanks a ton Glen, it means a lot to me to see others here on the board actually CARE about one another. Even with all the bickering, it is kinda like a family!:D

I'm very sorry for your loss and for your cousin's illness, Lance.

We're doing the Gilbert Jeep Show on March 17th. Maybe we could setup a donation bucket there if they are OK with it.

I'll email the organizer and ask if it's something we can do at their show. If so, I'll let you know and maybe you can put together a donation/picture board of your cousin and her family and folks can contribute if they like. If this Jeep show is not the right venue, maybe we can do another carwash down here on the east side on a different day.
