Alright so i just got my Jeep running and I would like to take it out on a VERY EASY trail.

Im more or less looking for a nice place to get some beautiful AZ pictures.

I live over near Scottsdale Rd & Mcdowell.

I really dont want to do any wheeling at this point. Just a nice scenic ride.

Any locations would be great.

Thanks in advance.

A lot of folks when there hitting the trails for the first time go out to Butcher Jones... you can get some good pics of the lake from the top of the different ridges... They're isn't much out there that you can't get to with a stock jeep, lots of stuff to play on.

x2 on the coves lots of great things to do out there but you will have to use 4wd out there and do some minor hill climbs depending on how far back you want to go.

Four Peaks road is an excellent scenic drive. you start out at the bottom, which is Desert, then work yourself up through Country and then when you reach the top, its nothing but Ponderosa Pines. You get great views of the Valley, Roosevelt Lake and the Mogollon Rim. The ride is easy, 2.0 at the most. Any SUV can make it, your Jeep wont have any problems.

take hwy 87 out to the saguaro lake/bush hwy turnoff. go down a few miles ot the butcher jones turn. follow it back to the parking lot. DONT BUY A PASS. theres a green gate in the back corner. follow the trails back as far as you wanna go. IF you go back in far enough and keep heading towards the peaks you can come OUT 4peaks road and hit both areas in the same trip.

when do you wanna go? Im free thursday morning or thursday night (ben you up for that?) friday we might be wheelin sycamore (west side of 87) as well we can run you out that way too

Sedona for the scenic view. Pics of saguaros get boring after a while, might as well explore the Red Rocks up North.

well the story goes, i just got my heep back from hoppers in tempe and well i shouldn't be doing ANY wheeling till i fix a few more things.

BUT i just met a girl from MINN and she loves my old rusty heep and wants me to show her some cool spots.

Problem is I get the death wobble driving down the freeway. So closer is better.

And like i said no 'real' wheeling. Looking for back roads and easy driving.

If i have to do some hiking, Im all game.

Thanks again.

Just met a girl! Great! There goes all your wheelin' money. Yup, he's a gonner for sure! ha ha.
Gee, if you can't take her fast and far, I'm sure someone else will volunteer to do so for you! ha!
Don't go wheeling by yourself, always have another Jeep or whatever go with you. Safety in numbers. For you and her too! ha.

Try the apache trail.
Scenic for sure and cant go too fast.
This is the perfect road for what you're talking about.
Its the first place I take out of town guests.
