Albeit I do my own alignments, every few years I like to get the thing over to a shop just to confirm my settings. That said, looking for an alignment shop that:

* can handle 37 in tires

* Control arm adjustments

* Understands that you REALLY can set the CASTER on a Jeep

* Understands that a lifted, big tired Jeep is NOT the same as a OEM rig with cam nuts for adjusters

It doesn't bother me that store policy is they don't make adjustments on lifted or _______ whatever Jeeps. As long as they can just tell me the exact toe and caster I can make the adjustments myself.

I just need to find a shop that knows what they are doing and I can make an appointment more or less. None of this drop it off and we will try to get to it today stuff.

Their equipment NEEDS to be better than mine [Wal Mart tape measure, duct tape and a Home Depot angle finder].

Prices should be reasonable none of this $40 to set Toe and $60 to set caster only to tell me because its lifted they don't make any adjustments. Then still want me to pay $100 bucks as the last shop I went to did.

Let me hear back from folks that have experience with a shop.

Don,

I am in the same boat. Every once in a while I have an alignment done so that I can get a computer printout of all of the angles.

The last few times I have gone to Buddy's off of Raintree just West of Northsight. I am pleased with them.

Absolute Offroad.

I used to go to Buddy's but had a terrible experiences and I havn't been back.

I made an appointment a week in advance for 2:30pm on a Friday before a 3 day weekend. I showed up 30 min early at 2pm... I sat there waiting for 2 hrs when "buddy" came back asking if I could reschedule since his workers were itching to go home for the holidays. I rescheduled for the following tue which was the next business day...

I got there early again, waited two hours... they pulled the jeep up and I paid... go out and the same ugly torn up wheel weights were still on the jeep... in their same original position and some were missing. I went back, told buddy, a shop guy came out with a hammer and new weights and just hamerrd them on where the old weights were!?!?! nice balance job! drove worse than when I brought it to them... I went back and told Buddy asking if they could do it right and he said he didn't have time and just refunded my money.

And thats why I havn't been back to Buddy's alignment on Raintree. He didn't want to spend time on my jeep so won't go back. Prior to that though the service was excellent. The large hawaian looking guy does the best work there(I forgotten his name) so if you do go to Buddy's ask if he will do the work.

its all about the details and customer service

Don,
Like everyone has mentioned...Joe and Absolute Offroad is the place to go.
If I need service for my jeep....he is the guy I'm going to for steering, alignment issues and most other things as well.
I've had steering and alignment problems a couple of times in the past....and when the heap leaves his place it is straight and true, rides like a champ.
I run smaller tires (33's) but I'm confident, Joe can straighten your ride out.

Don,
I've had Joe do alignments on my Jeep both when he was at 4Wheelers and just about a week or so ago, at Absolute. When I first did my LA lift, I wanted to make sure all of the arms were aligned correctly, from front to back and 'X'. So, I took it to Gary's place. He has the equipment and alignments are all he has done for over 30 years. He is not a fan of adjusting cartridge joints, but he does know alignments and can get you the numbers you are asking for. They got my Jeep within .25" of being 100% square. Gary's shop has a good reputation and in the weeks prior to the Barrett Jackson, you'll always see several of the cars to be auctioned, getting aligned, there. He is not the most expensive nor the cheapest. You need to get your Jeep there early in the AM, drop it off and he'll call you in the afternoon.
He's located North of Rosegarden on the West side of the 19th Ave.
