Payson wheeling

Staying at the Christopher creek cabins this coming weekend, and was looking for direction to any trails anyone may know of. I'm set up for a 4.0 max, but would like to have something a little closer to a fun run if possible.

Head out toward Heber and turn right on the Young Road (to Young). Several trails out there. Also, if you haven't already been across the Rim Road, you'll enjoy that one. Any of the locals can give good directions.

There is a nice ride from payson to rye creek. turn on main st (main turns to dollbaby rd) follow dollbaby to FR414 this trail is more of a light run nothing to ruff. the trail heads toward north peak and the mineral creek trailhead.then it goes southwest and into Rye (87) there are some siderides and old mines in the aera, I have herd this is the old Payson rd before beeline was bult. have lunch at rye creek. A good short funrun on the way back home!!

Wow, that sounds like a great ride. Been back by dollbaby ranch, little stream. but never went farther, think I'll check it out tomorrow. You ever been on Eugege Ridge by Walker AZ ?

eugene Ridge ?? gonna have to look that one up.. you dont by chance have a white Wrangler ...........that creek on dollbaby is the east verde the turnoff to 414 is only a few miles past the payson water plant on the left I dont rember if its marked Its on the tonto map goodluck.....
