Get the Garmin US Topo software. It cost around $100 and is well worth it IMO. You can get it at REI and a handful of other places.

This software has most of the access roads and sometimes has a wash mapped out already. You'll love it! And more importantly, you'll never get lost.

Here' a link to Amazon.

Is it a eTrex Venture Cx or just a Venture? Big difference and the software will matter.

If it is just the Venture, I would recommend

And finding a good online map site that provides GPS coordinates.

I agree (if they have a version for your model). One bad thing about their US Topo's though is they seem a bit old...at least the version I have, I don't know if they have an update or not. I know the maps I have are at least 15-18 years old.

Anyone know of a waypoint bank for the trails in AZ and around? I get some here and there, but would be cool to see many in a repository of some sort.

I was looking for such a bank also.... I believe there is thread on this very sight discussing why some folks believe posting waypoints on the internet is bad ju ju. :)

Go to the Garmin site. You can click on the topo map and there will be a guide to tell you what is compatable with your unit. Also wide world of maps on 26? west indian school is an authorized Garmin dealer and can help.
