I think I'm gona put lockers into these d30/35's I got. Because they are just little 30/35's I'm not going to spend big dollars on ARB or OX lockers, so that leaves me with Lockrite lockers for the 27 spline.

Glenn has a locker for sale that SHOULD fit my d35 (i got the 3:73 gears and it should have the ABS carrier) so that gets the rear done, but I'll need a d30 to fit 3:73's 27 spline. Anyone got one??

My buddy has a brand new set of lockrites for both that he wants to sell. I will get a hold of him today to ask what he wants for them. I'll PM you this afternoon.

Honestly I would only get the one for the D30, your asking for it if you put one on your d35, they break on there own easy enough.

Allen youre a great driver, my advice would be to only get one up front. theres very few places you wouldnt be able to go with just the locker up front. I only run a lockrite up front because of the 35 in the back. Ask david c about the small ledge he was climbing with the rear tires in SAND when it let a shaft go. If youre set on getting the locker for the 35 go with something that you would be comfortable and capable of removing on the trail to get the clips out should you ever break an axle. Just my advice but you know your driving style best. If you think you can swing a rear locker, get one. Worst comes to worst youll just upgrade if youre unhappy with it! :D

I went through a few lockers on a damn 35...never broke the shafts, but cracked the carriers which in turn damaged the lockers behond use.....

I say for $20 weld the back and if it breaks, hell it will still be cheaper to replace the parts than lockers....u can easely buy a full d35 for less than half the price of a locker and most likely get free ones. It actually is a very smooth ride on the road, maybe depends on the the tire rubber. Some people say it wears out tires faster. Ha!...Auto lockers lock up more easely than you think around corners so it really isn't that much of a difference, unless you drive with an egg under the gas pedal.

I had a thread on this an a board sponsor said it would break on the street that it will cause too much stress....Hey wait! Guess how much stress and shock is passed through the axle when that auto locker finally decides to lock!...I know:cool: My .02 if you want a locked D35...screw the locker it's a waste of money. Weld it, spool it....or junk it and get something stronger. Whatever you do/or don;t do to ur D35, have spare parts!!!!

sounds like your minds made up! Get her done then. just a bit of obvious here but make sure you bring spare shafts, clips, oil and the right tools for the job. and dont get ahead of yourself. if you dont make it the first couple tries then reline and be easy on the skinny!
