Has any one run Dry Creek in Sedona? If so what is the trail rating and do you have any pics?

Dry Creek is an easy semi-maintained dirt road. There is a short 5-10-minute side trip with some moderate 4-wheeling that goes out to the homestead cabin. It only takes about 1-1/2 hours roundtrip from town.

It is possible that you may be referring to a different area, aka Cliffhanger, Homestead, Crack Axle? Because this trail crosses Dry Creek on the way in. Tell me where you heard the name Dry Creek, and that may help pinpoint for what you are looking.

I might have the name mixed up. I should have started by asking if anyone has run the wash that intersects Greasy Spoon at the Southern end. I talked with a guy that said that he saw some pics of guys trying. He said that someone broke the ears of thier axle. But I might be way out in left feild on this one. Also any info on the other trails mentioned would be great.

BAD Rick! BAD! You must be overdue for your beating...:D

I know of the group in question, and there are several issues with the situation:
1. They weren't in Dry Creek--it is actually further east of where this particular group was, and
2. The area in question is not/was not/never has been a "trail"--just a few rocks to play around, but nowhere to go.
3. Can you really trust anything you heard from a mountain biker? :D

But, yes, as you said, people keep hoping for trails of 4.0+ in Sedona, and it just isn't so...

Nena do you by chance have any GPS waypoints for these trails (Cliffhanger, Homestead, Crack Axle)? Or maybe try and run them after the new year.
