I know it’s been YEARS but tell me why does hearing Dave Pratt on a HICK.. ahhhhh sorry Country Station bother me????? I remember the good old days of Dave spinning Metallica on KUPD…..

Personally I like the Homburg and the Moring Sickness… decent show… a little too much talking for my taste at time…. The wife digs the Edge guys in the AM ( talking the kids back and forth to school ) ……

Crossover guys like Dave just bug the ****e out of me today……..

Yep it is different I remember when he was on midnight to six and broadcast from a little trailer in Guadalupe. that was like 1984 or something like that.

His morning show is the only one I feel comfortable listening to with my kids in the car. He has changed and grow into a different person over the years, thats all

Wasn't much of a fan of the morning mayor, the only thing he did was the word of the day thing, used to laught till i cried.
My favorite at the time was KSLX with david k and Oh shoot, hes writing books now, owns a magazine,(Bob Bozebell) anyway the oldy rocknroll.
Don't care for the talk radio shows, music man, play the music and a little levity inbetween. Radio is changing, having children I have learned to listen to a lot of what they listen to, so I can understand some of them. Ha, times a changin too.

I too like the EDGE guys in the morning. The only time I turn it from them is when those stupid Chronic Car Audio commercials come on...
The wife listens to Stern. We don't carpool anymore, as I can't stand him(actually, our drive in times changed, lucky for me).

HELL YEA, Octane, Hard Attack, and Alt. Nation are all that are ever on in my vehicle. And I get full signal even while out wheeling.

Good stuff. Pratt was a tool at 98 and is still a tool on whatever station he is on now.

I remember seeing Dave Pratt and the sex machine band at the pride pavilion in 1983 at the anti michael jackson concert. that was the year michael jackson cancelled his concert here.

To answer the thread starter's question: Because he's a sellout.

I've got one of the Morning Ritual Member's Jeep on my patio now.
We're building his Jeep, currently working on his cage. I don't listen to his show in the morning,(I've checked it out, but I think Chuck is sorta funny, Vince laughs too much, which is irritating and Thrillride just doesn't strike me as humorous. I do listen to the Morning Sickness, and when I'm tired of that, I flip channels for music, or listen to CD's (Company Work Truck).

I used to listen to Pratt at 98, I guess more for the Rock and Roll than him...

Yeah, morning sickness would be ok if it weren't for that Thrillride guy.....LOL.......Too much talk, not enough ROCK with radio morning shows.

Pratt is a total sellout though, he just followed the money and the morning gig..............

i hate most radio morning shows. i can't take the goofy puns, over the top fake laughter and my whole commute is spent in commercials. let alone the narrow play list of the local stations. I have XM and spend a lot of time between the blues, country and rock stations. But my morning is spent listening to the opie and anthony show. XM is the best thing i've bought, i spend my entire day in front of a computer with my head phones on. the repetitive local stations would make me crazy. not hearing commercials is worth $12.95 a month.
