This probably is a stupid question but is the Backroad to Crown King still a trail? I did it awhile back probably about 8 months ago or so and when i asked some people to go do it again with me they said that because of the fire the trail was pretty much just leveled out by the fire crews and now for the most part is just a 2wd trail. Is that true or does it still have its difficult parts???

Did it this past weekend. NOT a 2wd trail. The steps are still there and the last 5 or so miles still cause internal organ damage. We had a great time! Took 5 or so hours to complete with a 30 minute lunch break.

Ran it once with a guy that had an Atlas. He did it in 2wd.......Lo.

A few weeks ago on Dragon Fly's Birthday run I was following a Jeep that only had 2WD with a locker and he made it up there fine. He was following the blue Dodge am all the way too.
