Hey everybody,
I know their must be info. on this subject but I can not find it. I will be converting an 88 YJ 4.2, peugot trans. to a chevy 350 throttle body inj. swap. Are their any good write ups on this conversion?? I am wondering if I can use the auto trans. and transfer case out of the chevy or what conversion would you suggest ?
Thank You

Steve, I used a turbo 350 tranny out of a 4x4 truck, Dana 300 transfer case. I basically fabbed up mounts with the guidance of my neighbor. The wiring harness I purchased from Painless and it was a plug in system. I went to a junk yard for the computer. I am on the West side if you want to stop by and take a look. Let me know if interested and I will PM you my no.

Unless you already have a engine and trans?? You should buy my 327 PFI and TH350 then an adapter to your case and your done... :D

Thanks guys,
I allready have the engine/trans/transfer case. It came out of my sons 1990 k1500 pickup that he rolled last weekend while deer hunting. I live in Prescott and appreciate the offer to come to Phoenix to see your swap. If I can get down there I will PM you to see your rig at your convenience.
Thanks again!

You can use the whole package, but I would check into a slip yoke eliminator kit for the rear output on your T/C,count on driveshaft mods, engine and trans mounts will prolly have to come from Advanced Adapters, P/S hose should work from the Jeep pump, Alternater should be a simple plug change unless you use that part of the wiring harness out of the truck (I would), A/C lines might be interchangeable but unlikely, I'm sure there is a shop in town here that can build you custom hoses, and an aluminum aftermarket radiator should set you up. Oh yea, your stock FI fuel pump in the tank will prolly work just fine on the TBI Chevy (If your already FI'd), a nice custom 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster and you'll have a nice package. Good luck.

Parker will make any AC hose you need, as well as any other hose you need.

Oh, and I forgot to remind you, Somewhere in our Bylaws it says that one club member cannot finish an engine swap before another club member who started their engine swap first. So I hope you're working pretty slow on this one, cause I'm going to be a while! :D
