so saturday afternoon my friend was sitting at a stop light on power and thomas in a yellow mustang Gt. across the intersection a blue mustang ran the light t-boned a car and that car t-boned my friends car. The side air bags went off, the silver car said they were doing 50mph when they hit her everyone walked away from the accident so this is a good job ford for making a good car and they said if the side air bags didnt go off chances of her walking away with just scratches and a consusion were small with her being a 120lb girl and allhttp://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k193/glen_reams/SHUTDOWNTHEiNTERSECTiON1.jpg

Ooooooo....glad she got out. I hate it when people run red lights....my friends usually get pissed at me for stoping on the yellows.
Time for cage, lift and signing up in the trophee series.

That series of pics, if I were involved, would equate to a level of pisstivity you really don't want to know me at :)
Glad to know she came out OK.

Wow thats bizarre, I drove through that intersection probably just minutes after it occurred. It looked to me that someone ran the red light just like you said. I'm glad everyone was okay, My family drives that intersection every day and I dread someone running that light.

Talking about a yellow Mustang,
Years ago I was sitting at a red light southbound on 20th st. and McDowell. I was second car in line behind a 70ish yellow Mustang. The light changed and the Mustang did a normal take off through the intersection only to be T boned by a west bound 77 ford 4x4 truck, who ran the red light. It dragged the Mustang almost half a block before the mess stopped. I had actually started to go into the intersection when the collision happened.
There were several doctors and nurses on the scene as it was close to Good Sam Hospital. Only problem was most of them knew the girl in the Mustang who was a nurse on her way to work. Even with all the people from ER there, they couldn't save her. I helped get her out of the car, and even after 8 months in a war zone, I will never forget that girl.
Every time I drive in Phoenix and approach an intersection, I remember her. Ever time I sit at a light, I am watching the approaching traffic as the light changes.
If someone runs a red light and T bones you because you see green and just go, you more than likely won't have a chance to survive.
Please "look before you leap" as they say.

ya i went to driving school yesterday and we talked about that if you are the first one off of the light and you get t-boned you will get a ticket for faliur to yeild, becuase you are supposed to look both ways before you leave the line.

Last time I checked (insurance agent 12 years) We're #1!!! (in the country for red light fatalities... if you include Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, we have 3 more cities in the top 10_

Yup...you gotta look both ways..even if going thru on a green...people here do stupid things...not to mention the possability of someone running from LEO..
You just never know...approach EVERY intersection with caution...
