Picked this up today. Doesn't looked like much. But I'm sure with some hours and my tube bender, I can make something out of it. Came with a rebuilt small block Chev., 4spd. and extra grass insulation :D. And the price was right, $0, owner just wanted it out of his yard so he could put the house up for sale.
Thinking about making some tube fenders. And maybe tubing out the sides and rear corners. Also a full cage. Maybe SOA.

Jeep was sprayed before and after it got home. As far as the rust, my neighbor said the same thing when I got home. I came from Minnesota, I think it's funny what the locals here think is alot of rust. My last CJ I did, I fabricated new floors, rockers and rear corners. I didn't want to mess with the front so I got a fiberglass 1- piece front end. I don't like the Dana 20 rear, but will swap it out when it goes. Here's a pic of the last Cj I wheeled in MN.

I spent about 2 hours on it today. Bled the clutch, put gas in it, put a battery in it, and bypassed the ignition switch (owner lost keys, and broke the column). Will have to find another. Actually fired right up, and drove around the block. Everything seems to work, except left lockout needs to be replaced. Checked the casting numbers on the block, comes up as a 400.

Well it's been awhile. But here is what I have so far. All of the work has been done at home. Still having trouble getting it to run smooth. And have a few suspension changes. With a rear diff. change, yet to come, before I can take it out to do a shake down run.

Yeah, I herculined the diamond plate. And the inside. Still have a list of want to do's. Like rock lights, consoles, and I'm going to add back up camera and under carriage camera for night runs. At the same time I was working on this, I was also working on my TJ, lift, sye, and etc. Plus the trail runs I've took this year.
