Video link that was on here about 6 months ago where a Jeep in Alaska got washed down the river and it caused some controversial comments and discussion?

The comment about the winches smoking was expected as well as stalling the 12k winch. It makes me laugh when someone has 100+ feet of winch cable and they're 10-15' away from something trying to recover it.... of course not realizing that theyir 9k winch is a 4k winch with that much wire on the drum.

I just went back and read that thread again,:eek: 11 pages. The shot of the short cable pull was explained as an attempt to break suction. Lifting up first, filling in the tire holes, then pulling it forward. Quite a recovery! They also mentioned the reduced pull and the extensive use of a snatch block.
