Im only interested in running it from Bartlett to Ind Springs Wash.
The road out through Horseshoe is too washboardy.

I'm thinking 9:00 or 9:30am meeting time at the bartlet pay
station... sound ok?

in Sunday.

FYI, the Indian Springs Wash leg of the trail is FR532. As you
approach it from FR42, you normally turn right, travel east a
short bit along FR532, and then turn left back onto FR42 to take
it to Horseshoe Dam Road. To exit the FR42 run via Indian Springs
Wash, you will turn left where FR42 tees into FR532. Should you
turn right instead of left, you will see a trail marker for FR532
a short distance from the intersection of the two trails. In that
case, simply turn around and go back the opposite direction (west).

We don't have to pay, but is still a good meeting place. I know someone mentioned 9:30, but 10 would be better if it was actually 10 and not 10:20, 10:25, etc.

They're an AzVJC poll underway to see if the group likes the change. If more respond that they like it, it will be permanent. Go to the Yahoo club site and vote your preference.

Personally, I vote to change it back, to allow for replies to individuals. Right now, every reply goes to the whole group...which clutters the group e-mail (already very voluminous) with replies that would be better directed to an individual. My 2 cents.

Why has the web master changed our yahoo groups to keep us from replying directly to the sender of the e-mail? There are many instances when the group does not need the reply just the sender.

Shaun,

My boyfriend slips a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator in the
Dodge Cummins until it warms up. But it's a little warmer here in Az in
the winter than it is on Korea. Did you evey find an engine oil warmer
for your little diesel?

In the northern parts of Russia, Canada, and in Alaska, they either let
the engines run all night or build fires under the engines to keep them
warm.

Mmmmm, that doesn't sound right. Sounds like the thermostat is stuck
open. It shouldn't matter how cold or how much air is flowing over the
radiator. The thermostat should be closed and not allowing water to flow
to the radiator, until the engine warms up. I'ld check the thermostat first.

Cheers,
Fred

This is true with diesels,,, most cummins people in real cold places are
removing the fans completely or putting something in inhibit the airflow
through the radiator

Mmmmm, that doesn't sound right. Sounds like the thermostat is stuck
open. It shouldn't matter how cold or how much air is flowing over the
radiator. The thermostat should be closed and not allowing water to flow
to the radiator, until the engine warms up. I'ld check the thermostat
first.

Cheers,
Fred

Found this on the www.jeepgirl.com site. Thought it was pretty cute.
Linda

You know she is a true Jeeper when....

1)She takes the latest JP magazine to her gynecologist appointment
2)Bypasses the Cosmo at the magazine racks and goes straight for the
"Off-Roading" magazines.
3)Her Jeep is color coordinated and matches her shoes
4)When making her wedding plans make sure that it includes something
with the Jeep
5)When she says she's going to take a mud bath and doesn't head for the
local spa.
6)When getting a "lift" involves wrenches and bolts, NOT plastic surgery
7)Before dating ANY guy, she has to know his policy on square-or
round-headlights
8)She's more concerned with breaking an axle, than breaking a nail
9)In her purse you find makeup, an organizer, and a torx wrench
10)You ask to see her kids, and she shows you pictures of her YJ and her
scrambler
11)When her motto is Diamond-plate is a girl's best friend
12)When she goes shopping for meats, she means tires
13)When her friends talk about shopping for accessories, she's thinking
of new tow hooks
14)She gets a sad look on her face as she runs her muddy Jeep through
the car wash
15)She wishes for a blizzard to show off how well her Jeep can handle
the snow.
16)She grins at speed bumps and "DIP AHEAD" signs
17)When someone says to her "NICE RACK!" she assumes that they are
talking about her roof rack
18)Instead of tupperware parties, she has Quadratec parties

NO it would not....it is a gutter mount system on this rack...if you have
rain gutters it could be made to work

Do you know what it would take to mount the rack on a factory roof rack on a
98 ZJ?

I read an article a few years ago about a 4 wheel trek
through northern russia. They were in a built ford
diesel truck. They completely bypassed the radiator
by routing a hose straight from the bottom outlet to
the top outlet on the engine.
