Do the rims have a 4 inch center hole. If so would you be interested in trading for New Tan High back bucket seats.

38204 From: James Towle <James.Towle@a...>
Date: Thu Dec 27, 2001 1:58pm
Subject: Tune-up

I have started a tune up on my '99 TJ these last couple of days. I had lost
a mile per gallon over the last three weeks and my Jeep turned over 40,000
miles. Just replacing the cap/rotor & plugs gave me the mile per gallon I
knew I lost plus one more.

The details:
Bosch Platinum Plugs - Checker Auto - $1.69/ea
Blue Streak Cap - Pro Auto Parts - $23.59
Blue Streak Rotor (Standard) - Pro Auto Parts - $8.89

(on order)
Accel Coil & Adapter - AutoZone - $74.98
Mopar Performance Plug Wires - Darner - $33.00 w/discount

When I install the coil and wires I was told I can open the gap on the plugs
.005 but, I will be safe and open them only .003. The coil produces 45,000
volts as compared to the stock coil at 30,000. The Blue Streak cap has brass
contacts and is guaranteed for life, if it wears out you take it back to the
store with the receipt and they will replace it. I used to have Blue Streak
parts on my old cars and never even had the points wear out.
I will keep you up to date on the mileage, but it couldn't get any worse
than it was.

--James

PS - I also wanted to thank DougB again for setting up the Darner account,
that works great and makes dealer parts more affordable. $33 for plug wires
isn't bad for any plug wires, especially performance wires.

That was prob. Ross. The CJ had full width D60s running 38's? It is
a VERY well built CJ! The Dodge was white, correct?

Not too far from there, there is Gardner Canyon and Madera Canyon Roads off of Highway 83. All along highway 83 between I-10 and Sonoita there are numerous trails some easy some very arduous. Once in Sonoita if you turn towards Patagonia there are even more trails. I am planning on hitting some of these area on Saturday. This area is also the area I would like to organize a meet in late March. A two night three day camping and trail trip.

I think there are some dunes down by Bowie. This is east of
Wilcox along I-10. There is a state sponsored off road area with
natural hot springs diverted to hot tubs. I have a (state)
brochure around somewhere. It says that certain areas have speed
limits but most of it is unlimited, advises a slow look around
before going too crazy.
Have been wanting to go check it out sometime.

Price: $4,500 obo

'94 Grand Cherokee Laredo, I6, Auto, all stock.
I am helping my brother sell his Jeep. This Jeep was stolen two
weeks ago and recovered. The body has some minor dings (before theft)
and is in great condition. The engine also had some issues before the
theft that are now worse. Bad starter motor, engine mounts, leaky
radiator. The thieves obviously over heated the motor and my brother
said it runs worse than before the theft. He just had it in a shop
today and they said the motor was "toast". Also the original stock
wheels were taken and replaced with '87-'88 vintage Jeep 15" mag
wheels with 215/75-15 tires and no spare. All reasonable offers
considered. IMO this a great project vehicle. I personally would but
don't have the time or resource skills available.
If interested let me know.

Ralph,

I would think that a place such as 4 Wheelers Supply would carry axle shafts
for a D-30. It is a common enough item to break.

Didn't get your E-Mail until we got home from Sunrise tonight. Had a great

I just read this guys write-up of his recent run through Martinez
Canyon on JU. It's nice to see what out-of-towners think about our
area trails. We probably sometimes take for granted the great
wheelin' we have in our state. Check it out, its full of spectacular
photos.
