Is anyone going to be running a trail on Saturday? I would like to do some wheeling, something like a 3.5 - 4.0. I'm not looking for an all day adventure about 3 to 4 hours of wheeling. Let me know.

$190 is too much. It's easy to find a yellow-top for $150-$160. I got
mine from Desert Rat for about $150 with a club discount.

Yeah, but we all know you don't wheel hard or have many accesories on
your rig. But I'm sure you get plenty of use out of your winch.

I ordered them directly from MORE. Their website is

I have been to Cochise's stronghold a couple of times but it has been
a while. My parents live not too far from there in Sierra Vista. If I
remember correctly the trail to the stronghold is very scenic but not
difficult at all. I'm sure there are some fun trails in the area that
I am not aware of. When I was in high school we would go wheelin
around the back side of Ft. Huachuca. Those trails might not be
accessible anymore.
Hope this helps,

Sorry David but I only know of one place near phoenix that has any sand at
all. Never even went there myself as I was told by some people on this list
it was only so so. I think it was located at the south east corner of the
White Tank Mnts just north of I-10. I found it one day on terraserver so I
know its at least there. If you want the good stuff your going to have to
drive. Glamis, Dumont, Buttercup, basicly anywhere in the Imperial Sand
Dunes has the goods. I actually now live in Albuquerque, NM for the time
being and we do have some ok sand to play in.

Can't say I do much rockcrawling, not even in the TJ. Can't stand it
myself I'm more into sand and desert running. I'll see if I can find
the dyno sheet again if you really want the torque numbers as I don't
remember them right off the bat. How much you think that ultimate TJ is
going to run anyway? I bet it clears 50K easy when done.
