I disagree, real Jeeps are not defined by how they get the way they are or
even by headlight shape (sorry Joe and Scott) but rather by the person
driving the Jeep.

Attitude is everything.

Happy Holidays.

I agree with Chris, however I think Jeeping does have quite a bit to do with
the vehicle as well as the as the aditude otherwise wouldnt we just let
everyone into the Virtual <insert 4WD vehicle here) Club. I dont think that
building it makes it any more "Jeep" Infact it may be less of the
manufactured "Jeep" parts. I guess the purpose of building, bolting on, or
paying somone else to do both are just different means to making a trail
vehicle. the Fun comes when you see what breaks and what doesnt (in my mind
anyway). Its all Jeep the difference come with the person driving the Jeep
(as chris said) They build/bolt what they trust to get their Jeep and
themselves throught the trail hopefully in one piece.

If you only want a couple of inches more, you may want to look into a
spacer lift. There are a couple of places where you can get a "budget
boost" lift for the XJ for around or under $100. It consist of coil
spacers up front and either a block or an extended shackle in the back.

Hope this helps.

I think "scared of" and "not set up for" are completely different and
Should be completely regarded as such. As I am not scared of Axle
Alley I am just not set up for it yet, I need lower gears and a front
locker.
See ya on the trail

Did I ever say a real Jeeper had to do the harder trails to be a real
Jeeper. Real Jeepers don 't try to push others beyond their limits. That
can turn a real Jeep in to a real heap.

Oh, I'm probably set up properly for it, but am not READY to do that
trail yet. Its a skill thing. I'd rather not do a trail I'm not ready
for. That leads to unnecessary breakage. Breakage is a part of Jeeping
but unnecessary breakage is counter productive.
