Wow, for once, I counldn't disagree more with Joe. I personally think my OR Fab tire carrier is far better than his loose, rattling, 800 LB Bulletproof carrier and you don't need some heavy bumper to mount it.
The OR Fab carrier is very well built. I spend much less than $495 on mine but it was one of the first ones built.

With the Bulletproof bumper and spare tire carrier running only $466 complete with a lifetime warranty and better quality... why in the WORLD would ANYONE pay $495 for the OR setup? I thought that the OR setup was MUCH less than the Bulletproof bumper. If the OR assembly is $250 then it is a good price... if it really is $495, you should consider Bulletproof.
For anyone considering Bulletproof's setup with a lifetime guarantee... let me know; I have their current pricelist.

Dear Subscribers:
GO TO ALERT LETTER WEBSITE:

Currently, Mark Rey, USDA Undersecretary for Natural Resources and
Environment, has until December
24 to decide if he will review Forest Service Chief Bosworth’s decision to
uphold the Sierra Nevada
Forest Plan Amendment. This process was previously known as the Sierra
Nevada Framework.
It is critically important that you send an email and FAX to Mr. Rey and ask
that he review and reverse
the Chief’s decision. You must also ask that he focus the Forest Service’s
attention to traditional
planning efforts done on individual Forests.
Even if you don’t live or recreate in the Sierra, you should weigh in on
this issue because it sets a
bad precedence for decisions made in Washington, D.C. instead of at the
local level.
You must also email and FAX a copy of your letter to Vice President Dick
Cheney since he is President
Bush’s point man on access issues.
Mr. Rey’s FAX number: 202.720.0632
VP Cheney’s FAX numbers: 202.456.7044 and 202.456.9500
Please forward this alert to your own email networks. Our continued
recreational access to the Sierra Nevada depends on your action today.
Also, if someone you know is not already signed up on the BRC Action Alert

there are no attachments. I am working to resolve this issue, as

I too got some Younger Bros. bumpers and am totally satisfied. Beefy, with about 2 miles of weld bead (probably exaggerated a little). Front & rearbumpers, swing-out carier, and receivers w/ shackle mounts ran ~$625 to my door! They had a terrific special last Christmas, but I also had to wait about 3 months as they were backlogged. I think they raised there prices since then too, but a great bunch to work with, and they do custom/extra stuff too. Their website shows details of construction and order info and pics. I'm very pleased w/my Younger bros bumpers.

For an alternative, check out http://www.younger-bros.com/ I bought my bumpers, tire carrier from them and they are at least as good a quality as Bulletproof and some what less expensive. The construction is top notch and they are easier to work with than bullet proof. They added some custom mounting points for me and a winch plate for much less than Bulletproof. (actually bulletproof would not do the custom work)

How much of a project you looking for? I have a 76 CJ7 rolling chassis with
6cyl/th400/qtrac complete with title. Also have a tub and grill to go with
it. It's a big project but asking $600.

each other that their bumper is better and shinier, more matte,
heavier, looser, and tougher than their fellow club members'. I
thought that we were all just Jeepers who had a common interest, and
wanted to help each other out, not bag on someone's ride!
If you would rather make fun of someone for buying a certain

here and there but I found most of the posts useful and educational. I
did not see anyone "bag on someone's ride" (other then the friendly

I can and do accept your opinion even it is an incorrect one about

Currently, Mark Rey, USDA Undersecretary for Natural Resources and
Environment, has until December
24 to decide if he will review Forest Service Chief Bosworth’s decision to
uphold the Sierra Nevada
Forest Plan Amendment. This process was previously known as the Sierra
Nevada Framework.
It is critically important that you send an email and FAX to Mr. Rey and ask
that he review and reverse
the Chief’s decision. You must also ask that he focus the Forest Service’s
attention to traditional
planning efforts done on individual Forests.
Even if you don’t live or recreate in the Sierra, you should weigh in on
this issue because it sets a
bad precedence for decisions made in Washington, D.C. instead of at the
local level.
You must also email and FAX a copy of your letter to Vice President Dick
Cheney since he is President
Bush’s point man on access issues.
Mr. Rey’s FAX number: 202.720.0632
VP Cheney’s FAX numbers: 202.456.7044 and 202.456.9500
Please forward this alert to your own email networks. Our continued

Anyone have an idea what a YJ body complete with frame is worth? It doesn't have any springs or axles, just the frame. It also has a title.
Thanks

Holy ****! This place is starting to resemble the
jeepsunlimited board. What a bunch of whiny punks trying to convince
each other that their bumper is better and shinier, more matte,
heavier, looser, and tougher than their fellow club members'. I
thought that we were all just Jeepers who had a common interest, and
wanted to help each other out, not bag on someone's ride!
If you would rather make fun of someone for buying a certain

can take the FUN out of Jeeps and Christmas, all in a few posts.
Yup, I am not impressed. 'Course I forgot that we're all still in

Ok, now is the time for everyone who can't accept an opinion

here and there but I found most of the posts useful and educational. I
did not see anyone "bag on someone's ride" (other then the friendly
