Had a great time yesterday wheeling with Rich Wayne and Lyle. Thanks for running me though some new stuff and letting a Tacoma tag along :D

Hey TBob, great wheeling with you yesterday. I guess we both learned a little bit about wheeling your rig!
It was a LONG day for me yesterday, took an hour just to get to the TM exit from Goodyear. We did Raw deal quick enough, even with the scramble at the top. I think we started Terminator around 11, and we were still on it at 2 pm. :eek: Thanks to everyone for the help with my trashed tire, even you, TBob for the jack that worked and moral support. Rich, thanks for the spotting and help changing the tire, sorry I didn't bring a camera, but even when I do, I seldom get any good pic's. Your new camera looks cool, post up when you get the time.

I stopped at the Arrowhead Discount Tire to get my tire fixed and they didn't have one in stock. The only store that had one was at 43rd and Glendale, so off I went to battle rush hour traffic and get it done before the other trip planned this weekend. Got home around 7 pm. Man, was I whipped!

It was a great day for wheeling yesterday and nobody got hurt too bad. It was nice to meet a new member, TBob, and see how his Taco performed on the trail. I'll keep my jeep for now but I have to give him credit for trying some hard lines. A combination of the long wheel base and no front locker kept him from making a few of them but we all had fun trying. Thanks to Wayne & Lyle for showing on such short notice.
Between the hangups and the punched sidewall on the Hyjak we didn't get off the trail until 2:30. We ran LRD, URD, and LT. Heading back to the airup spot we met a jeep coming in and the driver asked us if we could help him rescue a pickup stuck down by the lake. Since Wayne & TBob had to leave early, Lyle and I agreed to go on the rescue. We drove about seven miles from where we were to reach the pickup buried in the river. Just before we got there we passed a large tow truck stuck in the mud. The tow truck got stuck that morning coming to pull out the pickup. I talked to the young kid with the pickup and they had been stuck since the night before. I asked him why he drove into the river and he said they were all drunk. He had flagged down the other jeep coming in to TM off the pavement to help him so he didn't know any of us. The guy in the other jeep was named Trent and he had his wife & about five yr old son and a 6 month old baby with him. He is a very nice young man and after the rescue the kid said thanks and left.

I think that picture of the jeeps connected together pulling out the truck says it all. Jeepers doing what Jeepers do best, helping others to the best of their ability!

Probably our three winches could have pulled that tow truck out but the driver was long gone so we stayed away from it.
Ahhemmm....TBob pulled himself out ;)

I have cleared it with my wife. As soon as she gives me a few dates she can live with I will set up a weekend run at TM for you guys. We have enough room here for everyone and I already have a leader that knows all the trails. Even trails you can't do. :D :D
Only one condition, you must leave the speedo at home.
