Posted this here since this tranny / tcase combo will work on a TJ, YJ or XJ (or at least I've been told).

I just purchased a '94 Jeep Cherokee.

It had a 5 speed AX15 transmission. It was rebuilt in 2004, but it's not shifting right in to second or fourth gear. I've read that this could just be someone who put in the wrong tranny fluid, and that if you put in the right fluid it will clean itself up. I changed the fluid and it did start shifting better after only about 100 miles, but I have to get it through emissions and don't have the patience, so I've swapped it out. Call around and you'll find that just for a core charge you're looking at $300, so I'd like to see that for this tranny.

Also have a NP231 (J) Transfer Case. There's nothing wrong with this t-case, only reason why it's up for sale is because I bought a tranny / t-case combo that included a SYE, where as this one does not have a SYE. I can include the stock (slip style) driveshaft for no extra charge. Asking $300.

Would take $500 for both. Make offers, you never know.
