Since I can't make the Crack's run this weekend, I'm going to run Willow Springs. You must have the permit to run this trail. The last 3 times I ran it, I was stopped by rangers to check my paperwork.
Here's the trail description:http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?t=13760
Meet at the gate at 9:00am.
CB Channel 4
Bring food, water and a camera.
I'll have my kids with me, so if you have some feel free to bring them!

Your funny Dad!:p

Charlie, here's the address: Mesa Ranger Station located at 5140 E. Ingram Street. Mesa, AZ. 85205. Their telephone number is 480-610-3300.

This will be a good trail to test out your new ARB!

Didn't have a chance to get the permit today. Maybe next time. I couldn't go anyways. I have to work tomorrow morning. I might post a afternoon run at FJ.

Was this your first trip to Willow, Rich? It's definitely one of my fav's as it's so close, it can be as easy or as hard as you desire, and it's gated, so it stays clean and unstacked as the rif-raf who don't bother getting the permit can't get in.

I plan to make it trip #1 for a shakedown run once I'm done with this axle swap (very soon).

Nice pictures Rich. I've gotta learn how to do it correctly, instead of leaving attachment files to look at individually.

Anyway, it was a great time and great to getting to know Rich better. This group has some great people in it!

Yeah, my first time out there, don't know why I waited so long, I had a permit last year, just a timing thing as far as runs go I guess. Will run this a few more times in the near future I'm sure.

Yep Charlie, the 35's are on and it's nice having a little traction with the front tires as well, my front 33's were toasted. Now maybe I'll be able to keep up with you ;)

Ian, I use photdump and photobucket dot com. It's easy to sign up for and then you upload the pic to their site. After it's uploaded, you can click the mountain icon on the reply section here, enter the link and voila, the pic shows. Makes it easy to post pic's to a couple of different sites at once.

Once again, great day ! Thanks again, you guys ROCK !

Cool. Maybe you can join me on my shakedown run. I'm getting close. I replaced the master cylinder today and I need to bleed all the brakes (new front calipers and rear cylinders), then get the steering taken care of and I should be ready for a test run.

You can afford it - you just sold your YJ. Besides, you know you'll be here for Hunter's BBQ ;)

Hey Matt, let me know when you are going. I need to "get back on the horse" so to speak. I thought my first trail back after getting everything fixed should be Willow Springs.

Will do. If I can get the steering taken care of this week, I might be ready next weekend. I also need to find some longer front brake lines.
