This might help:

http://members.aol.com/Revolvr/jeeptech4.htm#CAM

As far as adjusting the pinion angle... it all depends on what sort
of driveshaft you're running with.

Seeing as how you don't have an SYE, I assume you've also got the
stock driveshaft - i.e. it's not a CV style shaft...

So, that means that you need to keep the output of the transfer case
and the pinion angle parallel within 1 degree.

Tom Wood's site has a bunch of info on this stuff if you need more
help:

http://4xshaft.com/techinfo.html

When I was setting up my pinion angle... I did it all with my control
arms (they're adjustable). Basically, it was trial and error (remove
one end of arm, adjust length, and test drive... repeat as necessary
until vibes were gone). But, if you can find an angle finder, it
might make your job a bit easier (try to find one with a magnetic
base).

Looks like I got a real good excuse to get a MM lift and/or and oil pan skid. I think I'll do a MM lift first because it will also help out with the driveline angle.

Sandee wrote me back, she said I could try to get it out. I'll see if I can
make arrangements to do it. Looks like the weekend of the22nd is the best
for me.

BTW, if we sit on our Laurels and wait for some insurance company to do
this, we only hurt ourselves and our sport.
I would think it would be obvious they have nothing to gain and everything
to lose by removing it.

Once I get things set up, I'll post back to the group to see if anyone wants

My friend got this ZJ for sale. I will try to give as much as possible information onthat.

Here we go:
1) 4.0 L AWD Grand cherokee
2) There are dents on the body. The most important ones: on the lift gate and left side rear door. These two dents are kind of big. BUt door and lift gate is close. Other dents are small and various part of the body.
3) Seats are in good conditions.
3)Door panels are kind of OK. Driver side of the door panel kind of broken but held together. Rear door panels are ok. Switches on the door panel may need to be cleaned.
4) Nice engine looks clean and feels clean. 115K on it.
5) Tranny needs to get an overall fluid change. It has smooth gear shift but kind of dirty fluid.
6) There is some electrical problems. I don't know whether it is because of the security system or else. here are the main problems:
a)Power seats are not working, Both of them
b)I wasn't able to start the car with the key. When I hot wired from the starter it runs but not the key.
7)Needs mirrors side and rear
8) needs sun visors
9) needs one headlight lens and one turn signal lens.
10) tires are ok but It could use nice ones.

These are the things that I remember about the car.
This is an abuse Jeep. My friend got this from an auction. It was repo'd. Of course owner was so pissed and trash the car including breaking the windows. I was able to replace windows, It did cost more than I thought, but wasn't able to get around electrical problem. Now my friend wants to sell it as is conditions.
Car is in Tucson.
She is asking $5000 OBO for the car. Anyone wants to see the car please e-mail me.
THanks

Subject: [TR] Upper Terminator 12/9/2001(not just another report, please read)

A few fellow Jeeper's got together yesterday and ran Upper Terminator.
It was a blast. We had a set of destroyed nerf bars, bent bumper,
bent shock, busted lower shock mount and a tacoed tie-rod(even bent
the steering stabilizer). All in all it was a great day wheeling.

On the way home I learned even more about the group I had been
wheeling with that day. Many times we have been there for each other
to wrench on vehicles and such. But on this day it would be a
different set of rules, a new scenario. As the first part of our
group approached Deer Valley Road they bared witness to the
unfortunate accident last night of the woman and her 3 children. Soon
after the rest of us came upon the scene. The first on the scene,
Mike, Scott, his girlfriend and Matt had begun searching for victims,
located them and moved them away from mom. Mom was the most severely
hurt by far.

My wife took the youngest, a five year old girl to our Jeep to keep
her warm and talk. My wife and Dalton(Sharky's son) talked and sang
with her to keep her calm. Dalton even told her stories about our day
wheeling, what a kid. Mike and Sharky took care of the oldest boy, he
had a broken wrist and a few cuts, pretty good cuts I might add.
Scott's girlfriend took the 7 year old boy to their Jeep to keep him
warm and away from mom. Scott continued to work with mom, he did a
great job. Soon after the emergency crews rolled in. They hit the
ground running and worked on the mother like there was no tomorrow.
Those people gave it everything they had. Emergency crews were now
taking care of the children as well and thanks to the efforts of those
in their Jeeps they kept them from seeing the tragic site of their
mother.

My hats off those that were there, you did a great job and your
efforts are worthy of much praise. When many could have flinched,
many did drive by, you stopped and went into action assisting without
hesitation.

To all of you out there(at the scene or not), remember life is too
short, take the time tonight or today when you get home to give
everyone you love a hug, a kiss or a phone call and let them know how
you feel. For those of you who believe say a prayer, for those who
don't say a prayer anyway, those children are going to need them, say
one for those fellow Jeeper's that went the extra mile in helping a
family through a very tragic event.

Those Jeeper's are:
Mike A.
Scott
Scott's girlfriend(sorry bad with names)
Matt
Sharky
Dalton
Jannelle
Eric
Eric's passenger(sorry again, bad with names)
Jim

God Bless,

With the Bulletproof bumper and spare tire carrier running only $466 complete with a lifetime warranty and better quality... why in the WORLD would ANYONE pay $495 for the OR setup? I thought that the OR setup was MUCH less than the Bulletproof bumper. If the OR assembly is $250 then it is a good price... if it really is $495, you should consider Bulletproof.

I've ran Procomp 4" springs since March of this year. They are great
springs. For me, however, I swapped out the rear springs a couple of weeks
ago. The spring rate was too low for the weight of my TJ (it has a hard
top, built in storage box, external tire carrier sitting behind a pair of
Jerry cans, etc.)

Procomps have the lowest, to the best of my knowledge, 4" spring rate of
the major brands. They give an excellent ride when teamed up with good
shock. I love the Procomp front springs and they are staying on my TJ.

So....I can't say anything about rest of the lift (control arms, etc.) but
you should be happy with the springs unless you have a heavy rear end
(oops....the Jeep I mean, not you!) ;)

For an alternative, check out http://www.younger-bros.com/ I bought my bumpers, tire carrier from them and they are at least as good a quality as Bulletproof and some what less expensive. The construction is top notch and they are easier to work with than bullet proof. They added some custom mounting points for me and a winch plate for much less than Bulletproof. (actually bulletproof would not do the custom work)

For anyone considering Bulletproof's setup with a lifetime guarantee... let me know; I have their current pricelist.

Oh, lets go out and jump on the Bulletproof is the best stuff in the world bandwagon:) If i like Bulletproof I would have bought bulletproof, but since I like Mark and his work at O-R, thats what I went with. How can you say that Bulletproof is much better quality? Have you seen one in person(O-R's)? I'd really like to know if this is just an opinion or a FACT

93 YJ, just above the heater box, that the blower motor is behind, is a plug in. On the inside of the plug in is two coils and a temp sensing diode? Mine was unplugged and so I fiqured that's why I was getting no heat. Well, no luck. Plugged it in and still blowing cold air. I did get my low setting on my blower fan back though!?? I replaced the thermostat, radiator (flushed also & heatercore) and my hoses about eight months ago......

3.73's would life a little "difficult" with 35's. At least "real" 35's ;)
Anyway, yes, there can be quite a bit of difference between 33's and
35's. My BFG MT's (33's) measured a little under 32 inches, mounted on
the Jeep. My SSR's (35's) measure right at 35, mounted on my Jeep. The
other thing to remember, is the weight. My SSR's (35's) mounted on the
steel wheels are ca 100 lbs *each* tire/wheel !!!!
You can certainly run 33's with 3.73 and it won't be tooooooo bad. I had
that combo for a while, before re-gearing to 4.56's..

Joe,

Instead of just letting him know that the Bulletproof product
can be had for about the same price as the ORF product, you put
him down by implying he is an idiot for buying the ORF product.
That's uncalled for.

Also, you state that Bulletproof's quality is better than ORF's.
Do you expect us to just take your word for it?

I have the OR fab set-up on my TJ with the Hi-lift a jerry can(s)
option. It was 495.00. I did not want a bumper set up as they seem to
get in the way and almost always rattle. The OR Fab system works
great. I would highly reccomend it.
