I know this is short notice, but thought I'd ask if anyone wants to come up this Saturday the 21st.
I don't think I'll get my exhaust done. but plan on taking the jeep out to test its flex so I can figure out my
bump stops and limiting straps if needed. I an also in the process of making and welding control arm bracket
skids for the lower brackets. I will send some pictures tomorrow.
I guess Cliff isn't coming as he's behind on some of his work on his trailer. I am not sure who else isn't coming but Zman and the boys from Cottonwood will be coming through Holbrook Saturday morning. I have a guy coming from Show Low also, I think. So for those of you from Payson and beyond coming, meet at Sassy's at 8am in Heber for breakfast, and the Chevron at 9am and on to the Cracks as usual.
I am not sure if anyone is camping or not.

It's killing me to do this, but I'm going to have to pass on this weekend.:(
It's been requested that I play a bit closer to home. Hopefully next time I'll be able to come up to the high country and play!
Thanks for the invite!:)

Yea, so far its been ok.:p
It's been night and day compared to the ECTED! It's nice to have a locker actually engage when you want it too! I was hoping to give it a more thorough test at the Cracks, but that will have to wait.

No Problem Simon.
We usually try to run the Cracks once a month. Sometimes we only have one or two rigs, but I try to get out there every month and sometimes more. We do not run the Cracks when it's muddy! It gets cold out there and does snow as the altitude is around 5400'. Suprisenly, the place dries out pretty quick.
Although part of the land the Cracks is on is private land, I am NOT the owner.
I know the owners and have taken it upon myself to try and keep the place in as pristene a shape as possible.
There have been a few grumblings on this board about having to get permission from me before going out there. You do NOT have to have permission! I do NOT own the land, BUT, it's MY adopted trail. I have developed rules for running out there, and treading lightly is prime! This means no shortcuts or making of your own bypasses. If you need to go back to camp for lunch, use the trail! Or go up the trail north and hit the road back around to camp.
Believe it or not the biggest trouble we have out there are the illegal wood cutters and I am assuming hunters scouting for elk on their ATV's. They make tracks in all directions and until the next rain or snow it looks like crap!
I only ask that because of my concerns, you let me know when you come up here. I do not have to be there if you don't want me. Just be sure you know where the trail is and follow the rules of Tread Lightly. I have been out there after some weather and had to go walk the trail because it disappears except for the white Idiograms and rubber on the slickrock.
Sorry for rambling on. Enjoy the trails.:)
Sorry you can't make it this time Scully, but there wil be plenty more times.
