I'm no expert at all, but it sounds as though the backing/adapter plate is not keeping the proper pre-load on the bearings? I talked with a friend about this some time back and he said that was a function that is sometime overlooked by manufacturers or do-it-yourselfers.
That's about all I can say about it.

For those of you who have gone to disc brakes on the rear Dana 44's, have you had any problems with the wheel bearings?
I've recently completed my conversion, and after about 3 weeks of driving, one side was completely trashed, and the other side was on its way. I've got a narrow track Dana 44 with 30 spline, one piece axles.

I would imagine you should feel an above normal amount of movement in your
shifter if your tranny mount bushing is bad. This would allow the tranny to
move/roll some as you torque it up through the gears.

Hi all,
I received this email from one of my customers. I found the virus right were she told me to look for it. Sneaky little devil. Sorry :) Lisa Mish
ALERT TO EVERYONE ....PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. A friend sent me this, and I did have it on my pc so I might have passed it along to you....please check!
Please read this you guys, as soon as I got it I
checked it out and it was on my pc. Just follow the
directions on here to get it off.
Please check your computer for a virus I inherited
unknowingly that gets passed on to anyone I sent e-mails to. The
virus will show up on all of your computers, but it
apparently takes a while for it to be activated. The
virus is programmed to activate after being on your C
drive for a while. Because of the delay in activation,
it will not get picked up by virus scan programs such
as Norton (and Mcaffee). When it does become
active, it will erase all files and folders on your
hard drive. the virus gets spread when you send out
emails and it filters into Windows Command. In order
to find the virus, follow these instructions:
-click Start (the windows menu)
-Choose "find"
-choose "files and folders"
-select "C drive"
search for: SULFNBK.EXE
If you find this file, DO NOT OPEN IT! Select by right clicking
your mouse and DELETE it. then close the window and empty your recycle
bin. the good news is that you have eliminated the virus on your
computer.
The bad news is that you have transmitted this virus
to anyone you may have sent emails to in the last month. thus the reason for this message.
Please contact everyone in your address book and pass this message along.

Broken timing chain or broken camshaft or broken distributor
shaft. Am not too familiar with the 258 but one of those is my
guess. Pull the valve cover and see what all is moving in there
when you crank it. Should tell you something.
If the distributor is not turning, your oil pump may not be
turning either....watch how much you crank it....

Hi all,
I received this email from one of my customers.

If the distributor is not turning, your oil pump may not be
turning either....watch how much you crank it....
