Well... 2006 has struck again. If you've been following at all, the list of reasons why I officially declase 2006 "the crappiest year possible" is long and drawn out.
Well, Not happy with its designation, and feeling that it could do more. Maybe in an effort to sway me for next year's award, too?
My back is still hosed... the L5-S1 vertibrae is done, and I'm going in for another spinal fusion in the next several months. Joy oh joy
Laurel's been sick since Tues night. the puke that keeps on spewing and the poop that keeps on sliding (right out of her diaper). This caused dehydration to the point last night that she was choking on her tongue! She couldn't even keep pedialyte down :(
Well, we got home from the hospital at about 3:30 this morning after them pumping about 500cc os IV fluids in her (her first IV).
She's still spewing forth the lower GI contents as often and liquid-y as she can, but no vomit... yet.
And the kicker now is that Tonia's managed to break another freakin bone!!
First it was her shoulder and upper arm. Now she's got a "Jones Break" of the 5th metatarsal in her right foot! She twisted her ankle or something Monday while shopping at lunch (be careful... shopping can be dangerous!). And now it would appear that she's getting the same stuff as Laurel?!?!?
So, in summation...
I am in near-constant pain and putting off another surgery, so it's hard to take care of Laurel. I'm also living on about 5 hours of sleep since Monday night.
Tonia is walking around in a boot and walker (no crutches because of her shoulder, see above), so could only have Laurel if sitting, such as feeding. Now sick and can't sit long enough to be worthwhile at helping.
Laurel sick as a dog who ate antifreeze and going through diapers faster than you want to know.
Oh, forgot... I've been needing to get to the grocery store because Tonia broke her foot the day she was going to go (later that evening), so we have little to no food in the house to boot!
I've only been outside twice and that was to take Laurel to the hospital and then after I got them both in bed last night to run out for more pedialyte... or was that this morning. It was 4AM.
I'm afraid to go take a nap... as soon as I lay down, Laurel wakes up and we start all over again.
Someone wanna loan me a gun? you can have it back once the police are done with it. (talking about me, not the wife and baby... and a complete joke anyway!)
At least I like my job, I am supposed to get my new truck this weekend, and I have the money in the bank to finally finish my Jeep.
