White Tanks 3 Oct AM?

I'm going out with my brother into White Tanks (Firebird, tax collector etc). I"ve only been there once and would appreciate the company of someone who knows the area or a rough map if someone has one. I'm planning to air down around 0730 but am flexible if someone needs an earlier or later time. If no one is interested I'll go anyway. I've always believed that getting lost is the best way to learn your way around.

Sorry I missed you Joe, I have been busy all day. Brad and I were just out there Sunday night, check out this thread; http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?t=16952
We seem to have generated some interest in a return run, but I may have to drive up to our place in Red River, NM this weekend, so I can't plan anything. :(

Had a great run. Cruised some of the sandy washes till we found a path going up onto the mountain. Found a reasonably challenging path up, got to the top with a great view of the city, then got hung up on a boulder. Managed to do some paving and got off, only to realize that a 4 foot rattlesnake was about 6 feet away from where we were standing and stacking. Got him safely back to the wild and headed back down. Found Firebird and got through pretty easily and called it a morning about 1100. It was all perfect for my brother who'd never been in a jeep before. I'd love to see someone put together a satelite map marking the major trails as well as boundaries for 4 wheeling. The view we got from the top was great, but I'm not sure it was legal to go where we did.
