So are we going to the dunes this year or what? :) I was going to start up the Raptor and Banshee today to get them ready for Holloween weekend but got sidetracked mucking with the Jeep. Going to probably get the toy hauler out of storage tomorrow and santize the fresh water tank and change the genset oil...dune season is right around the corner.

You betcha! Do you do Buttercup? I sometimes hit Wash 11 at Glamis for the weekend. Buttercup is just more family oriented.

We normally do Gordon's Well but do buttercup a handful of times a year.
I used to go exclusively to Glamis but as I got older and had kids I started going to gordon's and buttercup. We hit Glamis once last year as the larger bowls are great with the long travel high horsepower cars.

Sounds good! I never liked the dunes at Gordons, but Patton Hill and Freeway Hill are great for racing. The drags get too crazy at Gordons anymore and the flats are rougher than hell. I haven't been in 4 years so I'm excited.

I've ridden at Mile marker 11.5 a few times and it's been great. I really enjoy table mesa as well. The ride to tip top mine is a lot of fun.
Say when :)

I've have pictures of a group of us down by Tip Top years ago. I had a pair of the first 1986 250 Polaris quads back then. 250 Trail Boss models. Boy did the riding gear look funky back then! :D

In 1986, wasn't riding gear the lack of a shirt and a can or Coors?

Maybe for some, but I always wore the proper gear and never mixed alcohol with riding. ;)

All I can say is "never say never!" When I first met you I remember some swearing off of those things. Congrats on the new ride. Probably see you at the dunes this year. I hope to have my rock buggy / the only thing I have for the dunes now finnished before the season is over. By the way my TJ is officially for sale if you know anyone who is looking for a pre shrunk rock rig.

Hah! Hey Bill. Just now saw this reply. I never said I didn't drink. I just don't mix it with riding. I could tell you were surprised when I had a drink in my hand in Silverton. :D
I need to get over to your place and check out the toys. My LJ sure has changed since Silverton. Anyone that's wheeled with you knows how capable your TJ is. Whatcha asking for it? I still don't understand why you built the most capable rig for your son! :p Later!
