probably not a good idea to call a law enforcement officer a PIG around here, I believe we've got a few good LEO's here:)
but at anyrate, I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with that, personally I would've asked to see a badge, if he didn't show a badge I woulda curb checked him

So when you get mad you revert to name calling.
You said you don't call Police that but actually you did. Not cool :(

I agree with Nick that I'd have asked for a badge. Then I would have asked him what the badge mattered because it doesn't give him the right to talk sh!t about somebody... If he had a badge, I'd have told him to put it away and be a man instead of hiding behind a badge.
As a side note, this post in no way reflects any negative feelings toward LEOs in general... Just scumbags like this one.

If someone claiming to be a cop and he is talking bad to anyone in my family and gets up in my face after he said that he is Phx pd then YES Id say he is a PIG he got under my skin and that seemed to work for him. Very well I might add

I'm glad you were able to get his license plate. I'm not sure if the law about impersonating a police officer applies if he's not in a fake uniform or flashing a fake badge.... but in this situation it sure would be nice if it did. I would definitely follow up with the police and see if they can at least talk with this guy.

We have a claim # or case # whatever it called Amy said that she is going to check up on it. I use force and she uses brain power. I think her way is better or at least less painfull:D

I don't know how anybody even understood all of that. I really couldn't see someone that was trained to be a leo giving your wife a hard time like that. They have too much to lose to be out picking on women in their spare time. I think you scared him and he was reaching for a excuse not to get beat on. Next time if you don't see a badge just beat the hell out of him. It'll make you feel so much better. :D

If he is indeed a LEO, then you definately need to file a complaint with his supervisor. There is of course the ever real possibility that he was only saying that he was a LEO to intimidate you. Most LEO's are professionals that would not stoop to name calling.....especially to a female who has a young daughter with her. I doubt that this individual was a real cop.

Or trying to pick up women, as one valley officer found out this week ;) And I agree with the poster who asked what might have set him off. Even if it was avarage Joe Blow something had to have gotten to him (unless he has Tourette's).

I can see that happening. There is a big difference between some cop not thinking clearly because his second brain kicked in and trying to pick up on a chick and just out right going off on some women calling her names and verbally assaulting her. Big difference and if you can't see the difference then you need help. ;) :p

I see you have never spent time in Sunnyslope huh? It was probably his lack of crystal that had him pissed off.

You dont know any Thomas's up there do you? Well, it sounds like The guy was already in a pissy mood and was looking for someone to pick on. He wasn't riding a cop bike was he? :D Anyway, if someone called my wife a biatch jerk, I'd be all in his face even if he was a cop. That's no excuse! A cop has to handle his composure better than that! So I'd file a complaint either way.

True story....
Wife and I went to a concert at the former Desert Sky Pavillion. We turned left off 99th Ave. onto the road to the pavillion. A guy in a big family van races around us and pulls us over. He jumps out and claims he's a cop and that I went through a red light when I turned left. I told him I did no such thing and my wife knew this to be true also. He told my wife and I to "shut up!" After swearing and yelling at us for about 5 minutes; he tells us to stay parked there and a police unit will be along to ticket us. He drives away. I took down his license plate which was "AZ Boy." We sat and waited like dummies for a patrol car. Never happened. We attended the concert and drove home. I called the Phx. and Glendale PD and asked if I had a ticket coming. They said "no." I then made a report and gave the police a description and plate number off the van. A detective contacted me and said the idiot was indeed an off duty Glendale officer. I asked the detective what could be done. He tells me that maybe the guy just had a bad day and that they'll talk to him. Nothing was ever done and repeated phone calls to the detective garnered nothing. I finally just gave up; which is probably what they were hoping for.

Another true story....
I had a street legal quad at one time. While riding through my neighborhood; I was pulled over by an off duty cop on his personal motorcycle. He flashed his badge and asked me if I had insurance and license. I turned around and rode off without answering him. He was pissed and followed me through the streets yelling at me. I later found out that he was a seasoned veteran with the Phx. PD as a motorcycle officer. Little did he know that I was friends with his supervisor and his motorcycle mechanic as well. The guy was known for being a prick at work and I just chalked it up as another sour sucker. His supervisor wasn't too happy and let him know. ;)

The thing is Eric, I'm sure you weren't the first, not the last to complain about this guy. So every complaint counts. From working with the state, I know all complaints go into your file and do add up. But wait! I wasnt talking about me! :o
