Started installing my new anti-rock on Hyjak this morning and realized that the hardest part is removing the old sway bar! Hidden behind my winch and TbT bumper, I had to remove everything!
First question; what size Torx fits those small hooks on the front of my Rubi.? My largest is a 50 and that ain't getting it.
Second question; the instructions say the arms should be parallel to the frame, Nick said 15 degrees up is best, does anyone who runs these things have any advice? Even with the links screwed down all the way, my 3" lift puts the angle a little higher.
Third question; One of the bolts into my steering box is interfering with the arm, it is a little more out due tho the steering box skid bracket, this is a special bolt with the washer that won't come off. What's the best way of getting clearance here;http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/allands/IMG_2213.jpg
Last question;(for now) what hole should I use on the arm?
Thanks in advance for all the good advice...:)

Question #1 - T55
Question #2 - I mount the bar Horizontal or a few deg. up This is best for the sway bar to work properly.
Question #3 - Would I would do for clearance is bend are in a press. I do this all the time on custom applications
Quest #4 - The third hole in seems to work the best.

Wayne,
I had to trim each end of the links by 3/4" for a total of 1.5" off of the over all lenght otherwise the AntiRock stuck up way to far with my 3" lift. I ended up running my Antirock at 11* on the next to the last hole and was very happy with the performance.

Wayne, it should be set between 5 degrees over, parallel or up to 5 degrees under the frame rail. Mine sits slightly above the frame rail. If you have a lift under 4", the links have to be trimmed to size. I run mine in the second hole from the rear. It is set where at full droop my springs still stay seated. HTH

Thanks Todd, help from the far side of the valley! I borrowed a T-55 from my buddy next door, so the front bumper is back on... That was a strain!
The angle on the arm is about 12 degrees now and looks ok.
I don't know if the arm will drop down far enough to hit the bolt at full extension yet, and since I don't have a press, I will check it next time I'm out wheeling. I might just be worrying about a non-issue there.
I'm going to start out on the second hole as per the instructions and make adjustments after I have driven it for a while.
I appreciate your good advice, hope we can meet sometime on the trail. :)
Wow, while I was typing this, two more responses! Thanks guys, I think I will run it this way first and trim the rod if there are any issues. Anyone up for a shakedown run? I really want to see your new lift Clay, lets all get together soon.

Hi Wayne! Anytime that you want to get together is fine with me. I need to do a shakedown run here really soon. Maybe on Sunday??? I'm not sure yet and I need to check things out with the wife first. Also, if you need it, I have a hydraulic shop press that could bend your antirock. Let me know if you need it.

Sunday might work, I will be coming back from San Diego... After we shake 'em down, I will decide if I need to use your press. Thanks for the offer. :)

My anti-rock arm rubs the same bolt. It will slip by when flexing. Don't worry about it.

I did hit it with my feather grinder so it clears now, don't know if taking off a little from the top will reduce it's strength, but will keep an eye on it.

Nah, it should fine.
I personally run mine on the very last hole towards the axle at all times. Took a couple days to get used to driving it that way, but I haven't had any issues. I've had to swerve pretty hard at higher speeds and never felt like I was going over.
It does make the Durango and the Stack fun at 65 mph. :D

Last question;(for now) what hole should I use on the arm?
The last hole or the hole the farthest from the front bumper is at the AR loosest setting. As you move the connection closest to the front bumper it gets firmer. That said, several things can come into play.
Do you have adjustable shocks, such as the Rancho RS9000X? If so then you can mitigate the loose feeling by tightening up your shocks. I run my AR on its loosest setting and run a shocks a bit tighter to compensate. Works very well.
If you don't have adj shocks then run a setting that you feel comfortable with.
Your springs firmness also comes into play. Soft springs will require a firmer setting. The springs, adj shocks and AR all work in concert together.
You can run a +/- 15 degree from the ground plane with your AR. Much of this will be dictated by your lift, the setting its on and to a certain extent the amount of droop you desire in your front suspension.
I would recommend a set of adj shocks and then you play with it to get the amount to droop, handling and control you feel best with.
Enjoy...
