I was going to have a paint shop do the work, but the going rate seemed to be $500, so I passed on that idea and decided to paint it myself. Its not perfect, but I saved a few hundred bucks buying the spary cans at Sherwin Williams (Bell/I17) and enjoyed my day off. I purchased 4 cans of primer, and 4 cans of paint. For darker colors im sure this would be fine, but for the white I will need two to three more cans to finish it up. I'll get to that in a few days.
After Primer:

And Paint:

I used a previous writeup from another Jeep forum on adding the padding, but I added my own change to the center of the cage (over the console), as well as where the rear support is welded side-to-side. In other non-welded cages a lot of the padding can just be cut while the bar is installed, but since this is wlded I had to add some more zippers here and there. I removed the two rear zippers completely and had them resewn at a local alterations shop after the rear crossbar intersects. I learned one thing monday, the sewing is expensive! But well worth it.
The project isn't going to be done until I find a solution for the wire showing overhead between the two speakers. I might just clean it up with some wire tubing, but part of me wants to check out the M.O.R.E. padding available in sections.
Comments anyone?
