A buddy and i went to the gun show over the weekend, between the two of us we pretty much filled our wish list for the year.
He did convince me to go in with him on a 50cal. 7 shot bolt action rifle.

WOW what a weapon, took it out sunday late, and incredible accuracy, amazingly so. I had McMillan build me a 300 win mag about 10 years ago, it shoots a 1-1/2'' group at 1200 yards, they provided a list of loads to use, and they worked well. I thought that weapon was accurate, but the 50 put it to shame at about 3500 yards. man what a shooter, the optics (german) he purchased is unbelievable.
It still shoots a good group, the shooter however has lost some of his ability.
I was amazed at the lack of recoil on the 50, pleasurable to shoot.
Ran out of ammo, and money to purchase, but J & G has plenty to buy.
will try and post some pics from next trip.
Its my first time shooting a single 50,
weights in at about 28 lbs, not too shabby.
oh well another well to thow money in.
adios

WOW!!! 0.1 min. of angle groups! Hell, most pros would be happy with 6 inches at 1200 meters. You need to take that thing and enter a few competetions NOW!!!

wished i could say it was me shooting those groups, but it wasn't i have a good friend who shoots basically for aliving, he is a fine marksman, and lives to shoot, he is young and has all his facilities to use. I on the other hand am an old fat guy, that just throws a lot of lead till something falls down. Mc Millan use to typically build the weapon, and test all ammmo to give you the best round for distance, and or use, havent' seen Kelly McMillan for sometime, probably went fishing.
will post pics of the new toy as soon as the full time student returns the picture machine. It was only borrowed for one weekend ( four months ago) perhaps i should just purchase a new one.
thanks for looking
