Now that I got the lift on I should add some rock lights! Anyone want to get a workshop going in the southeast?

I'd donate my garage for it out here in Queen Creek!

Update:
Date: October 7th!
Place: My place! PM me for address and map!
Time: 10am.

I need to put in some more lights so I wouldn't mind swinging by your place. Plus you are close to Walmart so getting more lights is simple. :)

Most people have bought the cheap $15 lights at Wally World. The lights are good, but the wires it comes with are to small a gauge in my opinion. I went with 10 gauge wire from Home Depot, using 3 different colors. I also have a 30 AMP relay to better control things and protect the switches. The $15 lights do come with a switch, but I bought a different style so I could mount 4 switches. I only have 2 lights, but I plan on more. :) Then you will want various connectors and zip-ties. Check out Stu Olsen's website for more details. I stole most of my ideas from him. :) Thanks Stu. :D

Here are pics of my switches.

So the list (per pair of lights) of what I did. Others have done theirs differently. IMHO the relay and fuses are the most important as the protect the rest of the rig. I am really guessing on the wire lengths, but I know I used a lot and its always nice to have extra. Its nice to take with you on the trail. PM me if you have more questions, or just visit Stu's site. It has everything. :)

Just a note to all. Harbor Feright has some lights on sale, not sure when the sale ends. Worth checking out if you are interested in adding lights.

I don't know what I'm doing, just did it before and did a lot of research. :) On Oct 7th I'm planning on doing the recovery 101 trip, assumeing my wife feels up to it. Again I would recomend spending time on Stu's site. He has a lot of good ideas. I borrowed most of them. :)

If you are planning on the 7th, I'll have to let you know. My wife may not feel up to watching the 101 stuff being 25 weeks pregnant. :)

Thanks for the tip. You got a part number or pic of those lights on sale? The HF near me are far so I don't want to drive there for nothing.

Allen, are you still planning this for tomorrow?

I will be at the Recovery 101 thing tomorow. My wife wants to do that more than rock lights. I guess I can't complain about that. :)

Let me know if you reschedule this for another time.
