anyone interested in Payette draw this weekend, rachel, kevin(skii4x4) and I will be up their this weekend, we're probably planning on leaving early saturday morning wheeling and camping out saturday night, Kevin might go up friday night. but eitherway it's an awesome camping area and really nice trail. come on out

Sent a text to Rachel and Nick asking if they made it home last night because that storm looked far more menacing than it turned out to be. Got a return text from Nick today saying that someone broke a steering box off the frame and they were all still out on the trail trying to get it repaired. They seemed to have a good grasp on getting it done. Dont know how else the trip went. They didnt seem to need any more assistance but i will keep texting him.

Just got off the phone with Nick. It was a Cherokee that broke. It was close to the trailhead so they are just going to tow it back tonight as the owner wants to make sure it gets done tonight.

ya it was 8upxj(Brandon). He found out first hand the infamous weak unibody/frame/steering box problem first hand......and ofcourse being this weekend Home Depot was the only thing open and bolts from there are not meant to hold any actuall force, I think he'll be posting up to see if anyone is willing to help get his XJ to phx. but we all made it home safe and had a BLAST this weekend regardless!!!!

that was my rig that crapped out . it was a good time and I'm glad It happend with the people I was with . they were all very helpful . It was a good time but I'm freakin beat !

It was a rough weekend for all of us. Brandon broke a steering box, Nick broke a rear shaft (Didn't find out till today), Kevin was leaking fluid from his T-case on the way home, I went through yet another side wall.
We got rained on hard! That was kind of fun.

We tried to call in the Elk. Nick's snoring seemed to work well, but my Elk bugelling seemed to lure them in also (till the quads scared em off).

But a bad weekend campin/wheelin is better than a good weekday workin.

Had a good time. Nice to meet you Brandon and Leanne.

Just happy everyone got home safe.

I had no idea that the elk was that close to us when I closed the hatch on the XJ. too bad they wouldn't come that close the second night.
