New Sneakers on the XJ

Last weekend took the XJ out for pretty much it's maiden voyage since having the lift done and new gears D-44 and stuff. Rig did well, I was pretty happy with it BUT still needed some serious fender trimming etc.

While on the trail I ripped the sidewall out of one BFG 35x12.5X15 and puntured another sidewall. Had 1 spare and was able to jam a couple of plugs into the punctured one and limp on back home. (Could be a Jimmy Buffett song :rolleyes: ).

Anyhow, found a place on line and got a good price on some Super Swamper TSL's 8 ply construction (33X12.5X15). Got a no questions asked warranty for $100.00 which covers all 4 tires.

Anyhow, got the new Super Swamper 33 X 12.5 X 15's Friday and had time to get them on the rig.

cool! Now your dying to get them on some trails, right? I'll be out of town for a few weeks but returning Sept 8th or there abouts... lets hit some trails in late sept. no more monsoon and much cooler weather. I punctured the sidewall of one of my MTRs just a week or so ago. I tried to have a shop patch them but they said they were too far gone. Swampers are tough tires, you shouldnt have any problems with them.

After seeing neals rig the other day and realizing that including the flowerpot his jeep looks cooler than mine with the swampers, i want some too. he doesnt even have dents!

nice, I like my swampers, till I-10 that is, I got the same one but 36..12.50..15s. tough as nails
