Just been lurking around a little and getting ready for wheeling season. I have most of the bugs out of my pile and am looking forward to wheeling it.

I thought the judge shirt just helped with the BOA, I gave myself 4 extra points, but since you say it is good for score too..... Let me fix it

What is BOA The angle your gonna roll?

from the faqs hope it helps:

I'm having trouble grasping this BOA thing...help?

You're probably aware that your approach angle is the angle that you can attack a rock, based on your tire position and the most forward point on your vehicle (usually the bumper). Departure angle is the same thing for the rear. If you have a tailgate that overhangs your rear tires extensively, you'll have a poor departure angle. Your BOA is a similar measurement to the previous two...however, it's the angle in between the tires! The lowest point on your belly (usually somewhere on the t-case skid-plate) is the reference point, much like a bumper would be for approach and departure angles.

What is a break-over angle?

The break-over angle is about a vehicles ability to go over an object without touching the underbody. In other words, how able are you to take your vehicle over stones, stumps, logs and so on without scraping the underside of your vehicle.

Actually, most serious discussions of the break-over angle expand the definition to mean an included angle (also called the ramp) and an excluded angle. If you look at the side of your vehicle, draw an imaginary triangle (or, heck draw a real one, it's yours) with the ground between the front and rear wheels as the base. Now, find the mid point of that line on the lower edge of the body. Draw one imaginary side from the rear wheel and one from the front wheel to create your triangle. The included angle is described by the area inside the triangle with the ground as its base. The excluded angle is the area between the body and the included angle.

Maybe you should try looking it up first, www.google.com

why you guys gotta insert a bunch of BS in every thread ? Take the test, post your score, end of story
