1998 Jeep Wrangler Rockcrawler - $8300

This was my DD... Until it became my daily project! Originally the torque converter went out so I tore the whole vehicle down to rebuild it to my liking... I wanted to be able to get to the harder trails!! Unfortunately there is still work that needs to be done... I have finished a bit of it, but I have realized that I need to get back into racing MX and I have lost interest in building my Jeep. So... I am trying to get out of it close to what I owe on it... Below is a list of details... I can answer any questions you may have by e-mail or telephone... I also have pictures available upon request or maybe later today...

1998 TJ Model X
Motor: 2.5L (4cyl), has a cone air filter... other then that the motor was running well!
Trans: 3 spd automatic, Needs a torque converter... Or I do have an older version transmission with a good torque converter that may bolt up... It is the same tranny but does not have the electrical
Transfercase: Stock NP231 with RE Hack n' Tap
Front Axle: HP D30 with vacuum disco housing
Has TJ 1 piece shafts, TJ knuckles, LCA skids welded on, brakes are complete and I have a Lockright and carrier for 4.88 gears
It needs the 4.88 gears, master install kit, and vacuum blockoff seals.
Rear Axle: Custom Narrowed Ford 9" with LP
It has custom Moser shafts, 5x4.5, custom disc brakes using Cherokee calipers, 4.88 gears and install kit, mini spool and new seals and bearings all around
It needs the gears set up and then is complete
Suspension: Rear is leaf springs using XJ springs flipped backwards for added wheelbase, there are mounts for a trac bar on the axle... It will also need shocks mounted. Front Suspension is the Toys By Troy Alumiflex long arms with RE adj. trac bar, 5.5" coils, The front needs UCA bushings and a trac bar relocation bracket.
Steering: Stock tie rod and draglink, the tie rod has been sleaved inside and outside then completely welded back together.. Very strong as I ran this on my old setup with ZERO problems
Interior: Custom rollcage built by MonkeyBarz, the cage is tied into the frame in 6 points and could be 8 points if you would like. Has a rear tire carrier that is built the hold the spare over the rear cargo area. It also has beard seats and 5 point harnesses that are all tied into the rollcage. A GT 13" steering wheel, however it will need a quick disconnect, which I may have soon. CD player with XM radio. The fuel tank has been relocated into a custom enclosure behind the seats. The stock fuel tank skid plate was moved up and recessed into the floor making for a perfect tool storage.
Tires and Wheels: 4 36x13.5x17 IROKS with approx 90-95% tread... Do not have wheels.
A few other bits and pieces... A custom tube skid plate that is completely flat with the frame rails. Transfer case linkage modified to work properly with the raised skid. Will need brake lines ran to the rear axle. Paint is okay, but I planned to paint it as I filled in all the preexisting holes from side panel protection. Custom rocker guards are installed.

I can answer any other questions you may have! There is still a fair bit of work that needs to be done, but once completed this rig should be rather capable. I am just losing interest and need to get back on a bike. I am only asking a little under what I owe on this. I will look at all offers and see what I can do so please e-mail or call with interests!

$8300

Thank you greatly!

Yeah... wheelin' is good fun but it seems alot of my old buddies are slowly dwindling off... Wheelin' just isn't the same without the original Westside Clown Posse...

Plus... my arse has been itchin' to get back on a bike... I find out Tuesday if I will be rockin' a 2006 KX450F... If it goes home with me, then Wednesday I will be sick from work : )

He just sold the Jeep because he needed something a little more fuel friendly. He got on with the Glendale Fire Dept. I believe so he is planning to save some money and get a dirtbike or a street bike now... We'll see what happens : )
