Today I did my last trail in AZ, thanks Rob and John for a good
trip , if you ever head up to central IL....hmm.. well, there are no
trails there so I'll pour you a beer instead.
Sunday we start the long drive to Peoria, IL for a two year or so
tour. No more rock trails or Arizona scenery, now I have to drive
couple hours to enjoy a 'mud'...yuck run. And worse of all, I have to
remove both lockers before the snow falls.
To all the folks I had the pleasure of wheeling with the last few
years, may the oily side always stay down. I've had a ball from day
one, learned how to crawl over rocks and other fun objects.
As always, happy trails to all.

Have you messed with the t-case or air bag switch latly? The light
showed up on mine too, and the gas cap was on fine, but I took the
center counsle out, and somehow didn't attach the airbag dealy all
the way. After I put it back on correctly, it was still lit up. I
disconnected the battery for 2 minutes, and the light went off, and
has not returned. I have been forgetting to put my gas cap back on
the last couple of times I filled up, and the light never came on.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of some other trails out at the white tanks other than Appetizer and the tax collectors...today, Dan and I and a buddy of mine went out there to play around and came across a rather interesting trail that had 3 water falls right in a row...stacked a jeeps length apart acually. The trail was a blast providing you dont mind losing alittle paint and a slight dent here or there hehehe
I was hoping that maybe someone knows of this trail and its name...if youve run it you will remember it :)
Thanks

Nope, haven't done anything electrical to Tara's jeep in at least a
month or so.
The gas cap was on fine, but we just drove it around for a half hour
or so and it's still on...maybe I'll try the battery thing.

I never thought it was possible to bend/scratch/dent/destroy the
entire side of ones jeep, while the other side remains in perfect
condition....I need to start running trails backwards or something to
even things out.
This trail was fun, and I would like to know what it's called and run
it again after I get some more ground clearance.
Sharky's right though, the body damage possibility is fairly high.
We also found another wash that had a 9-10 ft, vertical water fall,
with nothing but sand at the base. We looked all over and couldn't
find a suitable winch point, so it would take a fairly well built
vehicle to make it up. It didn't look like anyone had run it yet
either, no skid plate marks on the rocks or anything.

Chris K., Matt, my wife and I showed up at In-N-Out. A slight miss
communication kept Mike A. from getting there in time.
We ate and headed out about 5:20pm(after getting there we found we need to
get there earlier).
We found some space for the three of us after some juggling around and cars
leaving(we sort of had to extend our row). Shortly there after James showed
up to a warm greeting of "Hey you aren't allowed in Scottsdale"...LOL. Mike
A. showed up, Sharky and MIke Beach.
We had a some people looking, gauking and talking Jeeps with us. Then it
was decided to do a little demo. Mike A. turned his tire and Sharky drove
up. The crowd grew very large while he parked his up on Mike's tire.
Several went and got camera's and came back to take pics, it made for alot
of Jeep conversation going on with the crowd.
There were alot of nice rides, all makes and models etc... All and all I
think everyone had a good time.
On the way home we(Mike A., Sharky and us) took Shea, then over to Bell,
imagine that Sharky taking the long route so people could gauk...no not
Sharky...
We will have to do it again soon, this time we will get there earlier and
eat at YC's Mongolian Beef. We can park, get some space and display our
Jeeps proudly.

Yeah, but building an axle is a bit more involved than stamping out some
corner guards. If that is what you are looking for, give them a call and ask
about delivery times. One person's bad experience does not make a bad
company
BTW - I have never done business with Avalanche, but I have heard positive
things from others

Hi Folks,
I joined a few months ago and have been lurking since then. Nothing new to
add to the list until now, just waiting to come back to the states and go
for a trail ride. (I live in the Middle East and expect to come home
shortly....)(and my Jeep resides in Phoenix)
The jeep in my bio was built by Avalanche. I've got a good bit of experience
with them, both good and bad. I can elaborate, if required. Bottom line is,
if the product you want is in stock, I'd go for it. They've got good
products. Their business skills are only average, but they're a speciality
shop, not a corporate parts supplier. A couple of corner panels should be no
problem. Same thing with the axles, they should be able to whip them out
PDQ.

Hey Jim, if you are looking at options to replace, give me an e-mail
and I will tell you what your upgradeable options are. Trust me, I
went through the SAME thing last time I went out with Dion! Don't
take that the wrong way, Dion is great to run a trail with! He is a
great spotter, and will stay with you until you are fixed!

Chris,
Yeah, I had a good time. I ran into some people walking through the
vehicles I hadn't seen in years. You forgot, or maybe didn't know,
about my trail repair. That's right a trail repair at a show, lol. I
washed my Jeep before running up to the show. There was no top on
when I washed it so the blinker relay or assy was giving me fits. I
used Mike A. Swiss Army knife to disassemble the dash and then I got
everything dried out. Just goes to show a trail repair can happen
where ever you go and my Jeep hates to be washed.

The gas cap was on fine, but we just drove it around for a half hour

Subject: Thanks for the "lift"
I would like to thank (very much) John Butler for giving up his
garage AND his day to host my Jeep as it got a Rubicon Express lift
installed. Mike Baney, Rick, and Rob, I truly appreciate all of your
help, which made a long hard day go by very fast, ad quite easily. I
just want to remind you guys not to tell anybody how small the stick
tires were, especially compared to the amount of empty wheelwell
after the lift was complete. Doh!
The Jeep feels like a coin operated bed at a cheap hotel- guess
I'd better get a driveshaft and get that sye installed... :)
Thank you again,
Lachlan

Thanks to all that showed:

Yeah, but building an axle is a bit more involved than stamping out some
corner guards. If that is what you are looking for, give them a call and ask
about delivery times. One person's bad experience does not make a bad
company
BTW - I have never done business with Avalanche, but I have heard positive
things from others
Just my opinion,

Hi Folks,
I joined a few months ago and have been lurking since then.
