Dan,
They have been doing something similar on coil over shocks for a long
time. If they were designed correct it shouldn't be a problem. You
see they are using fine threads for max interference. With the fine
threads it would probably take a while to adjust. I would be worried
about the spring slapping around and screwing up the threads, then
they are just regular spacers.
I think it would be nice to have others test them for $400. Maybe,
I'll look at a second or third generation.

I was looking at a stock TJ tonight, and I noticed that the stock
control arms hang down below the bottom of the brackets and extend
forward past the front of the brackets as well.
The skid plates I have will not work with the stock control arms.
I am sure I can fab something acceptable for those with the stock
control arms, but I would want to make them a bolt on rather than a
weld on skid.
For those with the stock control arms wanting skid plates, I can and
will make a set for you, but we will have to work it out.

Subject: Pressure Plate shoulder bolts?
Help!
I need to get the 6 shoulder bolts used to mount the pressure
plate onto the flywheel of my Buick 350. I thought I could use
regular 3/8x16 bolts but was told by the motor shop that I need
special bolts for that application (they've got a shoulder that
ensures the pressure plate is exactly centered on the flywheel).
Since the engine is out of a '69 wagoneer, I doubt a jeep
dealership will have these. Do all applications use the same
bolts? Anyone have a suggestion on what vehicle I should
reference when looking for these at a dealership?
Any help on where I can find these bolts would be GREATLY
appreciated.

I was driving home on Tuesday and found my Wrangler
overheating. I stopped and found my radiator empty.
Luckily I had some water with me, so I filled it up
and lucked under my jeep and had water dripping from
my engine. Finally got home, after 2 more fill ups,
and looked underneath. Looks like the seal/gasket
around the water pump is leaking. The water is coming
out from above the lower radiator hose next to the
block.
I have the 4 cyl. How difficult is it to replace the
water pump or is there a place in the east valley that
is resonable?
Just curious,

Hi to all at The Arizona Virtual Jeep Club,
Here is a challenge for you.
I am contacting you from a British TV company, we are looking for
ingenious people to take part in a prime time engineering challenge
for The Learning Channel. It's a race between two teams to build
complex machines (amphibious vehicles, gliders, cannons!) entirely
from old junk. The show is already a hit in the UK and is being
filmed in London - the lucky teams will be flown over, all-expenses
paid. Check out www.tlc.com<http://www.tlc.com> (Junkyard Wars) for
video clips and so forth.
www.junkyard-wars.com<http://www.junkyard-wars.com> has details of
how to apply and loads of neat information.
Feel free to contact me at this address with any questions you have
but be quick - the selection takes place in early June!
Cheers,
Thomas

had a pile of unknown, untested, unassembled parts and wheels with no
centers and 2 hours later, they had a complete, well-running truck. This
included a complete fuel system, cooling system, drivetrain hookup, steering
system (one of the trucks has no tierod when they dragged it in), engine
controls, and roll cage.
If you caught it, I think one of the police guys let the truth slip though.
He said that the bikers had been bothering them all week. All week? I

Guys,
I think you will find this series is being filmed in the USA. I didn't see
anything English in the Junkyard this time. Even the old bus was now a
Brill and not a Duple as in past series. You don't get hills in the
distance like the skyline showed either.

Dan,
They have been doing something similar on coil over shocks for a long

Luckily I had some water with me, so I filled it up

and looked underneath. Looks like the seal/gasket
around the water pump is leaking. The water is coming
out from above the lower radiator hose next to the

I have the 4 cyl. How difficult is it to replace the
water pump or is there a place in the east valley that
is resonable?
Just curious,

Hi to all at The Arizona Virtual Jeep Club,
Here is a challenge for you.
I am contacting you from a British TV company, we are looking for
ingenious people to take part in a prime time engineering challenge
for The Learning Channel. It's a race between two teams to build
complex machines (amphibious vehicles, gliders, cannons!) entirely
from old junk. The show is already a hit in the UK and is being
filmed in London - the lucky teams will be flown over, all-expenses
paid. Check out www.tlc.com<http://www.tlc.com> (Junkyard Wars) for

but be quick - the selection takes place in early June!

I question the fact that they only had 10 hours. At 8 hours, those bikers
had a pile of unknown, untested, unassembled parts and wheels with no
centers and 2 hours later, they had a complete, well-running truck. This
included a complete fuel system, cooling system, drivetrain hookup, steering
system (one of the trucks has no tierod when they dragged it in), engine
controls, and roll cage.
If you caught it, I think one of the police guys let the truth slip though.
He said that the bikers had been bothering them all week. All week? I
thought it was just a day long competition.
Sure would be fun to do though.

I've heard they actually have 3 days or more to build their crap.
At one point, you hear one of the cops say the bikers had been giving
them grief 'all week'.

Guys,
I think you will find this series is being filmed in the USA. I didn't see
anything English in the Junkyard this time. Even the old bus was now a
Brill and not a Duple as in past series. You don't get hills in the
distance like the skyline showed either.

Hello, I was wondering if someone know's a place that I can buy a
Hinge for a tire carrier that I am building. I would like a hinge
that connects to my bumper not a hinge that connects to the frame. I
need something that is going to very strong and that will be easy to
open and close. If anybody has any information of were I can find
one I would apperciate it. Thanks Anthony
