I SAW A NICE , YELLOW WRANGLER PASSING THROUGH GLOBE ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON. I
WAS IN THE OTHER YELLOW WRANGLER . WE WAVED BRIEFLY AT THE STOPLIGHT. I
DON'T THINK YOU SAW MY AZVJC STICKER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BUT I DID NOTICE
YOURS. NICE RIDE.

Hey Joe,
I'm glad you took that one exactly as I intended it.
Now for the important question: where can we get Jeep-mounted
rocket launcers and HUGE caliber rifles? I think the AZVJ Army
sounds pretty good. And with tall, wide, aired-down tires, driving
through the deserts of Afghanistan would be easier than a trip up
Anaconda!!!

I also see your point/points, but if we had not dropped those bombs and
killed hundreds/thousands of people (in a retaliatory measure), how many
more attacks and how many rights do you think we would have lost from
cowering under pressure? You need to decide which side of the fence to fall
on! You sound like a patriotic person yet you don't like the means for your
freedom. Maybe I didn't get the jest of your post, if so, I am sorry, but
war is not friendly and it is not nice. Those are facts, but I am sure you
enjoy your freedom gained by those facts. And contrary to your beliefs "Time
Doesn't Heal All Wounds!" Just ask someone who lost someone in those Towers
or at the Pentagon. Again, I am sorry if I read your post wrong, Just
voicing my opinion,

Subject: RE: Off Topic RE: Car bombs?? What the hell
Daron,
I never once uttered the phrase "time heals all wounds" or anything even
close to it.
That statement reeks of ignorance... and I wouldn't even think it much less
say it.
That being said, you are absolutely correct... I don't like the means for
freedom when they involve mass killings of innocent people; Japanese or
American... We could have achieved the same freedom we have today without
murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians... Just as our middle
eastern friends could have better achieved their goals without killing our
citizens last Tuesday. Wrong is wrong Daron... regardless of whether it is
America doing the wrong or some terrorist.
Those who believe that America always does the right thing are sadly
mistaken... we have made our fair share of mistakes; and using nuclear
weapons on Japan was just one of them. The point of my post was to remind
people that we too have made our share of mistakes... and we need to
remember those mistakes before we go off half-****ed and raze another's
homeland just to make ourselves feel better.
You are wrong on one thing though; I am absolutely NOT patriotic... but I
WILL defend American soil against any foreign attackers to the death. I
could care less if someone burns the American flag.... I think the vast
majority of American politicians are crooked to the core.... I think that
far too many Americans have bred with their cousins; producing offspring
like Bill Clinton. The word Patriotic is analogous to the word idiotic in
my book... symbolic of a person who lets a group of people do their thinking
for them. I think for myself. I decide what is right and what is wrong for
me. I follow the laws of our country that I agree with, and I break those I
disagree with. I accept responsibility for all of my actions. Anyone who
lets someone else (or a group of people known as a "country") decide what is
right and wrong for them is a sheep.... with all the intellect that goes
with that label. I set, and live, by my standards only.
Now that I've identified myself as not patriotic... I will admit that I am
extremely lucky to be born in America; for all her faults... no other
country does it better. When our country does something I disagree with; I
speak with my vote. When our politicians get too far out of line; our
system, however imperfect, seems to bring them back into line. While our
system is not perfect; I believe it is as good as is humanly possible.
Patriotic I am not... willing to die to protect our way of life and the
ground we live on? Absolutely. Willing to die to protect any other piece
of ground? Not on your life. Willing to kill for any other piece of
ground? Hell no. Defending democracy around the world... what a crock.
Now that I have alienated 99% of the list with this diatribe... if you feel
the pressing need to respond to this post; please do so offline before I
start getting hate-mail. <grin>

Had the same problem with emissions. I had a vac leak which more than
doubled the nox. fixed that but but missed the maximum by .08 then ended up
changing the cat which ended up bringing all readings way below maximum
limits. Try changing your cat or get it tested for efficiency

In reference to the car bomb in down town Phoenix: this was in reaction to information gathered by the FBI. A stolen car loaded w/explosives was reported to be on its way from Las Vegas to Phoenix. Law enforcement did find a red car that was reported stolen last month, parked in front of the Superior Court building on Jefferson Street. No explosives were found in this car. Let's hope the real bad guys kept on driving. I was there when this was going on...believe me sometimes it may be better not knowing what's going on. Robert.

Hi All,
I am looking for a company that has the tools to measure spring rates
and, perhaps, identify the cause the of the breakage. The snapped point
in the coil has a black spot. No rust marks. It broke all at once.
I want to make sure that the springs RE is sending have approximately
the same spring rate as the ones that are currently on the Jeep.
Thanks!

Subject: RE: 6" RE Long Arm Kit?
Joe,
The 6" long arm is an awesome setup. I've had mine for about 4 months. The ride both onroad and offroad is far superior to any short arm setup. I've had comments from stock TJ owners that it rides better than their stock TJ's. On the rocks, the Jeeps stability has improved like day vs night. No more rear steer under flex, no skateboarding, and you can't lift the left front tire off the pavement onroad anymore. Combine this suspension with a set of RS9000's and you can't find a better off the shelf setup out there.
The arms are about 3 feet long. None of the stock frame brackets are used. I recommend you strengthen the axle brackets with 1/4" plate. The crossmember install will require some welding on the 6 frame spacers that are installed. This isn't difficult at all and if you need help with the install let me know.
I'd set aside $2400 to do the complete kit. Well worth every penny I might add compared to the 4.5" RE short arm lift I ran for 2 years previous. Whether you choose to do a Currie Antirock at the same time is a personal choice.
I recently bent my front trackbar but that is a rare occurence and RE is sending out a replacement.
Like I said before, I'd be more than happy to help you install it if you do get it.
Regards,
Scott

Again, I am sorry if I read your post wrong, Just
voicing my opinion,
Daron

Subject: Re: Digest Number 1209
In reference to the car bomb in down town Phoenix: this was in reaction to information gathered by the FBI. A stolen car loaded w/explosives was reported to be on its way from Las Vegas to Phoenix. Law enforcement did find a red car that was reported stolen last month, parked in front of the Superior Court building on Jefferson Street. No explosives were found in this car. Let's hope the real bad guys kept on driving. I was there when this was going on...believe me sometimes it may be better not knowing what's going on. Robert.

Subject: Spring testing service
Hi All,
I am looking for a company that has the tools to measure spring rates
and, perhaps, identify the cause the of the breakage. The snapped point
in the coil has a black spot. No rust marks. It broke all at once.
I want to make sure that the springs RE is sending have approximately
the same spring rate as the ones that are currently on the Jeep.
Thanks!
Linda

Regards,
Scott
