John,
I'm glad to see you finally made it over to Vern Lewis. I used my CO2 tank to run some air tools this weekend when my track bar bent. It worked great! There is nothing faster for airing tires up. You made a good choice :)

James,
I picked up a ten pound tank from Vern Lewis welding supply in Phoenix with a
single stage 120psi regulator for $120.00. The only difference in this is
and the power tank is that my tank is steel, the power tank is aluminum.
When I need more CO2 the welding shop just exchanges my tank. With the power
tank you will have to find someone to fill it. The power tank also has a
handle on it that acts as a guard for the valve, my set up does not but that
is not really an issue for me with the tank in a mounting bracket.
Thought this might help

$350.00 is really expensive for a CO2 tank, regulator, etc. I got set up,
here in Tucson, with a 20 lb CO2 tank, regulator, guages, hose, etc for
about $150.00. It cost about $12.00 to fill it, they actually just swap the
tank out. I can air up somewhere around 60 33x 12.50 tires and run some air
tools, per tank. I can sir up a 33x12.50 tire from around 10 ~ 12 psi, to
about 30 psi in about 50 seconds! The only downside, is the size of the
tank, in my case the 20lb tank. You can get 10lb tanks and, I think 5lb
tanks. The 20lb fits fine in my Jeep, and you can't beat it for running air
tools, airing up, speed wise.
Cheers,
Fred

Subject: [TR] Chivo Falls - Sunday, September 16, 2001
Hello All,
steve sample is leading a Chivo Falls trail run on Sunday, September 16, 2001.
When: 9:00 am sunday
Where:
Well guys, I figured I would give it one more go around and see if I
can say everything at once. If you haven't read already the Chivo Falls
run is set for Sunday September 16. The meeting time is 9:00 Am SHARP at
the NE corner of Campbell Ave. and Speedway Blvd. in the Boston Market
and Subway parking lot. For all you out of towners that is near the
University of Arizona (home for some including myself). Take the
Speedway Blvd. exit off of I-10 and head east until you hit Campbell
Ave. and get in the left turn lane. You should see the lot. And at least
me parked there. White ZJ with 4 lights on top
Rating: 3.5+
Length: well all day from phx
CB Channel: 10
ok this run was organized by others and was relayed to me. i thought of posting for any azvjc guys to hook up also. the "where" instructions above are copied from the latest email i rec'd from chad jans. i think this run was originated through the jeeps-unlimited bbs. here is more to the post:
I know I have said it before but I'll say it again. If you are worried that your rig is not capable or you don't have a rig. :) Please attend any ways. We can park the less capable rigs and give a ride to the ones that don't even have one. I want to have fun and so should you. Gosh forbid we will find you a SEAT. If you want to go and need a ride let me know, I'll be
glad to pick you up!! Like I said in the post: I'll be on CB channel 10 and FRS radio channel 14 sub 0 my cell is (520)990-6207. If you have ANY FRS radios please bring them. Myself and others prefer these over the CB's. I am hoping to have enough to spread around. I want to leave the meeting location ASAP and start heading to the trail. We will be meeting Dave Peterson at another location closer to the trail head. This is where we will disconnect and air down. So don't concern yourself being aired down and disconnected until then. I look forward to seeing all the usual faces and hopefully a few new ones.

I attempted to gain access to the website below, but apparently it
isn't there anymore. Either way, I read it yesterday and thought I
would share what I saw, since I don't know how many of you were able
to access it before it was taken off-line.
The second phrase is taken almost word for word (in the original text
it was "city of God" not "city of York") from the site listed below.
The author made it up and was using it to prove a point debunking
Nostradamus's predictions. He was simply stating that by using a
cryptic style and generalizing, many people would interpret it to
represent various things down through history.
For instance you could take it to mean the Civil War: Twin Brothers =
Union & Confederacy; great leader = General Lee; third big war = 1.
Revolution, 2. War 1812, 3. Civil War.
You could possibly twist it to fit many events in history, including
the current attacks on the U.S.
IMO Nostradamus is a fraud. He wrote so many Quatrains, using his
cryptic style that a number of them have been twisted after the fact
to make it appear as though he "predicted" the future. The bible
tells us that anyone claiming to predict the future and gets just one
thing wrong is not a prophet. Given this, I think the famous X.72
("The year 1999, seventh month, From the sky will come a great King
of Terror: To bring back to life the great King of the Mongols,
Before and after Mars to reign by good luck.") proved that he is
indeed no prophet.
I would give no more attention to his "predictions" than I would the
writings of a monkey banging away at a typewriter.

Hey John
I put the ock Right in my front, and I am very happy with it. You
never know it is there, unles you are turning, then you hear the
clicks. The only disadvantage is when you are wheeling, and trying
to make a tight turn. The wheel is very hard to turn, but you can do
it. THis is where the Ox and ARB are at there best advantage. I
personally don't mind it at all. Doesn't bother me. The lock right
is REAL easy to install too!

You won't notice a difference in the front, because neither are
engaged until you put it in 4WD. Then they both do the same thing.
I run Lockrights F/R, and haven't had one problem in the front one
since the day I put it in. Tara runs a No-Slip in the rear, only
because the Lockrights were on 3 week back order when we went to
order one. It doesn't "ratchet" like my Lockright does, but engages
equally as strong (which is a relative term considering it's only a
lunchbox locker). I would say on the road it drives more smoothly
and less violently as the Lockright can be very temperamental in the
back, especially with a manual tranny. I would say buy the
Lockright, the money saved can go to a rear one, which will be even
better with the front. That's all my opinion.

Subject: Re: Nostradamus' prediction
I was waiting for someone to say something, My wife and I pullled out
the full translated Quatrains last night, for those of you that may
not know much about him or have not read any of his prophecies, Let
me tell ya, read em they will scare the hell out of you. I believe it
is Century 2 quatrain 87 not sure that talks of the Fresh river will
turn to blood. Pretty interesting stuff. but it also says that the
3rd world war has about an 80 year time period of which it will
begin, starting at the earliest i believe 1980's and the latest
2060's.
This could be it. He also talks of the falling of the twins will
cause a great earthquake in the new city and the Eagle(US) and the
Bear being brothers that are not yet brothers, and that the bear will
allie the eagle and the great war will begin. The Forgotten country
will crumble with great terror and the greatest blood will be shed in
the east. This is where the fresh river turns to blood.
Got the full thing as a metter in fact 3 versions of the translations
each one as scary as the others.
Sincerely: JEEP THANG

Subject: CB Problem
This goes to the CB guys.
I have (2) identical Cobra CBs, bought from the same place at the
same time (Fry's Electronics). They are both mounted and wired
identically in a 00 TJ and 01 TJ, wired into the unswitched aux. line
behind the glovebox. I don't leave them in, for security reasons.
There is one that works 100% properly all the time, in either jeep.
And there is one that does not work properly in either jeep. You can
turn it on with the jeep either running or not, however if the CB is
on and then you turn the jeep on, it blows the inline CB fuse (that
comes off the back of the CB). It will do this to only one of the
CBs in both jeeps, so I know it's not a wiring problem. The other CB
works perfectly, and does not blow a fuse under any operating
conditions. I am fairly competent electrically, and have tested all
wires and grounds, etc. in both jeeps and cannot find any problems.
I can only assume there is an internal problem with the CB, unless
someone else has any suggestions. Also, is there any place in the
valley I can take it too, do any of you do any CB work, or do I need
to ship to Cobra for evaluation.
Thanks.

James,
I picked up a ten pound tank from Vern Lewis welding supply in Phoenix with a
single stage 120psi regulator for $120.00.

Subject: Re: CO2 Air tanks?

You won't even know that the LocRite is in the front, when in 2WD, except
for a slight clicking that you'll hear when turning at slow speeds.

I'm installing an Alumiflex tie rod, and am wondering if I need to

Thanks.

isn't there anymore.
