Harqua Hala Observatory is west of town. One building and some foundations
left.
Some side trails with mine shafts and wood structures left.
Nice run goes from 1300 to 5400 feet.
If you do a search you can find info and directions to get there.

My brother has a '94 G.C. Laredo with a 4.0L six. It needs motor mounts and probably x-case mount also. What's available aftermarket and hows the price campared to factory?
His "check engine" light is also on. Local shop here in Tucson said he needed an O2 sensor, $202.00 just for the part! Anyone been through this? Can we change it ourselves and if we do will the light go out or does it have to be reset somehow?

Nice purple front D-ring! IMHO you can always cut off some more
metal. I have pics of a cool "chopped" TJ. I'll upload it after
this. The fenders on my POS have been removed for the obvious weight
reduction and lower drag coefficient. ;) I found some really cool
teardrop turn lamps from a vintage speed shop, but they are like 200
bucks... Glad to see the jeep went on a diet,

To all who may be attempting send me mail. I can send but not receive. Each time I try to send I get a box that looks like the way I used to sign on years ago. This pops up from time to time. It comes up when I am on line already and just keeps asking me for my login and password which does not work on it. So I can't check for messages. Hopefully it will go away by tomorrow. The box has a message that says "This way to the best of the Internet, type your username and password to connect to this site". It says it is from MSN and I have MSN but it does nothing.

So is your rig's new nickname "Daddy Flat Fenders" or maybe "Fire-Spider" or how about "Daddy Flat Spider"?

I like what you did much better than the stock setup... Good Job!

Joe,

Thanks. It's not as "unique" as yours but I like how the look ties in with the rear flares. This idea was patterned after the Currie Fire ant. I'd give Sharky credit for helping but by the time he showed up I had one side done and was bolting the flare on the second side. I'll still give Sharky a big thank you since he did bring some beer and we can't forget the guy who does that! I need to thank Jake Wagner for giving me a hand with this. He was there from the beginning and one of these days we'll have to chop his off.

Jon,

Do you know if extended shock mounts create any problems with clearance when
installing it. I was looking at this a few months ago as an inexpensive way
of beefing up the 35 and complementing the Super 35 I already have.

I was planning a trip out to a "hog town" west of Kearney in the next
week or so. A hog town was one of those quickie towns that were built in
mining areas where prostitutes, preachers, and hot baths were available.
There is an active claim nearby whose mineshaft blows some pretty cool
air. The last time I was out there was in 1995 or 1996 during the
ASA4WDC FunFest in Kearney so I don't know what shape the place is in. I
know the trail to it isn't tough, but it's pretty scenic. You get to
drive over the top of a waterfall. The whole trip may take the better
part of a day.

Hi,

I have a small favor to ask. I have friends from Pakistan who are camping
their way around the States, Canada, and parts of Europe. They have asked
me if I know where they might be able to go without spending large amounts
of money. I said I would try my friends and family for accommodations.

They travel light and bring all their own camping gear, and only require a
small place to set up. I have given them your name and address anyway in
anticipation that you won't mind.

There's a picture at the end to help identification if they turn up. They may
bring the green Mercedes or the white one - sometimes they use both.
