So PSC is shipping their stuff powdercoated now? When I got mine they were only available raw. If so, are they still shipping them with just a shipping label slapped on the inside of the slider? Just curios.

I'm kinda mental that way I'll admit. I got my PSC sliders raw and had a glass black powder coat applied to them. I was so so anal about getting them scratched. When I put them in my truck I wrapped them in a towel so they couldn't rub on my truck door and muck up the finish. When I got them home I wouldn't even put them in the garage on a towel, I brought them inside and put them in my bedroom. I have this thing about new stuff looking new. The funny thing is I have no problem beating up my junk (as my junk shows). I knew very well as soon as I put them on the Heep I would scrape the crap out of them.
I installed them on the Jeep and I was using padding/towel to make sure they didn't get scratched with the floor jack. I was very careful. THe first time I took them out (on LT with Barry) I actually said, "hey, I need to take a line where I can pivot on my sliders so I can break these things in". Yeh, I know I'm mental... but ever since the first time I hit the trail with these the goal of seeing how much punishment they can take is always one of the first things on my mind....but before they were on the Jeep.... I practically polished them with a baby diaper.

I am the same way, I would not of purchased them either. I want to be the one who puts the first scratch on my new items! I dont want something that has already been marred without me there!! If and when it gets scratched up I want it to be from me and my use......

then blame UPS for this "small flaw"
either way, it's still a smokin deal and their going to get scratched up eventually, atleast this way you didn't spend as much as the next guy after it's all said and done
