I have been trying to figure out how to mount my CB in my Jeep, I think I have found exactly what I need. But I would like to see if anyone here has used either of these products and what they thought about them. If they are good, is there a place here in the valley I can purchase them without having to buy online, and wait forever! Thanks.

As for the radio mount I have never used it. I use a small radio and it is mounted vertically to the right of my steering wheel. It fits there great, is easy to use and is essentiolly out of sight.

The antenna mount by the left rear light assembly is great. You can buy one at the CB shop in Glendale. Just be sure to mount the antenna so the rear window of a hard top clears the antenna.

I think Earl at Max4x4 has the Antennae mounts that hook to your tail light in stock. Might want to call him ahead of time to make sure, but he's usually got a good selection of stuff.

Does that mount clear the window? I see how it is slanted, but there are no good pics that show how it clears the glass...

The CB mount is a cool idea. I haven't seen that before. The antenna mount is also a good idea. I was originally going to buy one of those. I ended up picking up a mount from Simon that they make at their shop. It mounts to the top 3 bolts that the old stock tire care used to bolt to. It's a very sturdy setup and is pefect for those of us that have a aftermarket tire carrier and just have those old bolt locations that aren't doing anything. The mounting location is strong enough for a 150lb tire so it's certainly strong enough for the longest of whips.

I have the CBrack on my YJ and love it. There is a nice channel in between the two aluminum sections for running cables. I even setup my cb on the CBrack with a disconnect so it can be removed, though I have yet to do that very much. I'm putting in a cage soon that might not work with the CBrack but otherwise it fits my needs quite nicely.

Hey thanks alot guys, I really appreciate the information. It is really hard to judge a products quality by a picture. I really like to hear other people say they have had good experiences with aproduct before I buy something. Through the years I have made some really awful purchases! But in my defense the pictures always look so GREAT!! but seriously thanks!

I have this one http://www.arizonarockyroad.com/pages/2/index.htm works well. Also has room for a ham to mount. The ant mount I found on ebay mounts to the door hinge bolts. Very cool mill work.

I'll play devil's advocate:

I've always mounted my antenna up front. Better reception, no trail damage, and the whip affect is great for "fly fish" practice at crosswalks.

Australians and Trans-Africa overlanders have been mounting them up front for years.
