Master Pull Service – Tough Stuff products

I bought my Master Pull Superline http://www.masterpull.com/results.cfm?catid=1430 when it first came out about 4 years ago. The synthetic line has done nothing but provide yeoman service over the years. Years that called upon it to provide extreme duty withstand severe service and came thru at times when possible life and Jeeps were in danger. The rope has been pulled over extremely sharp rocks here in Arizona, the slick rock of Moab and at extreme of the ability of my Warn 9.5 ti more than once. Master Pull is truly master pull and worth every nickel of the cost.

Over the years, I have seen several folks hurt from mangled hands, a cut off leg and even a death around winches and I know well how dangerous they can be. To that end, I believe that maintenance is just a part of owning and using a winch. Therefore, every two years I send my line back to Master Pull and have them make fixes. This usually means cutting off the old ends and putting on new. This year was no different and I lost about 3 foot off the winch end and a good 10-foot off the working end.

Master Pull has never balked at providing service and they always return the rope, clean and updated in a timely manner. This year I added a new twist to the biannual service, which prompted, by my desire for safety and talking with Blaine at Tough Stuff products moved me to purchase a Winch Safety Thimble. Tough Stuff has developed a Winch Safety Thimble http://www.toughstuffproducts.com/jeep/winch_safety_thimble.html that prevents the winch from inhaling the working end through the fairlead and possibly taking your hand with it. I cannot tell you how ugly the sight is with a man’s hand winched to his wrist in a fairlead. Just let your imagination work on that for a while and you can see the benefits of the Winch Safety Thimble. I have seen it several times and hope not to see it again.

The WST is a tough aluminum alloy and rated for 15k lbs of pull, yet only weighs 9 ounces.

I commend Master Pull for superior service, winch line, and Tough Stuff for one great product.

I have a comment on ToughStuff products also. I have been running their windshield frame and fender paint protectors, (black ones) for a couple of years and I am very impressed with them. They not only protect, but have held their color well and look brand new still. I won them up in Moab a couple of years ago and recommend them highly as I would purchase them knowing what I know now. :)
