The autoparts store right accross the street from me wanted a WTF price for a three core radiator.
My local 4x4 store only have standard 2 core and didn't really seem interested in looking for something else (although they did have suggestions for a couple of places I might check). It also didn't appear that they were going to be able to find a fan assembly that was going to work either but also had suggestions where I might look for those. No alternatives were offered outside of the "check there".
Nick at POR got me prices for three core and as an alternative a 2 core aluminum. He also found a fan assembly that will work better with the new setup.
My new aluminum radiator is bought and paid for and should be arriving at my door in the next couple of days. Sweet.
Nick is a little far from me; but its worth the drive to me to deal with someone who is motivated to have me as a customer. This isn't meant to take away from the other shop, but I honestly walked out feeling a little blah about the whole thing, not really knowing what to do next. When I walked out of POR I was already thinking about what I would be buying from him next.
