Just had a rep come to the hotel to drop off new brochures because of the fire closures. I introduced myself as a VJC member and was talking with her. Contrary to what i have heard she was more than receptive to associating with us :P normally we hear stories about them complaining about us on the trail and all that. Ive never run any trails up there and she offered to lead me out on some of the "harder" trails (yeah i tried not to laugh). BUt i thought it was cool that she wasnt trying to push her business but more of a sporting comradere and wanting to have us out there on the trail. You all can laugh at me when i head up there and they flip me off and yell at me till i leave the trail.

Just a good observation of a company (or at least one of their employees) that normally has a bad name among us.

Pink Jeeps...umm yeah. I had one guy yell at me for crawling in the mini crack on Broken Arrow. Said I was going to get a $1000 fine. I smiled and said "thanks, have a great day!" It is very difficult to take your time, wheel, play around when people around you are on a very tight $chedule.

Sorry cowgirl...

How did you get out on some trails with the whole forest being shut down? I have been up there for a while working on the fire and every thing leading off road was supposed to be closed. Every dirt road I saw had a barracade. I saw a lot of Pink Jeeps everyday, but didn't know where they were going. I have never wheeled up there either. Spent the week with the Hot Shot Crews while they were cutting line or cutting down trees and chipping them up. Sounds like you had fun anyway.

...Sorry cowgirl...
Why are you apologizing to me? Have you ever seen me in a Pink Jeep? :D

All of the tour companies are doing pavement tours right now. As usual, Pink Jeep has done the best promotion and is running lots of Jeeps out on those.

As for school, I am shut down right now--hard to do "offroad training" under these conditions--though the back parking lot is looking better and better all the time...:D

As for rentals, we have 4 trails we are sending people to on the south side of the valley, where the Prescott National Forest is still open (around Jerome). It has been fun getting out on some different trails where I don't have every rock and tree named.

Although I dont know or care about this pink jeep thing, there is one thing you must remember...

She's a sales person, you really think she is going to talk crap to an employee of the company she is trying to sell her product to?

Darn it, I thought this thread was going to be devoted to pic's of pink Jeeps. Here's the jeep I'm currently trying to line up payments for:

Are those beadlocks on that baby? Yea, RokNRich, that Jeep is YOU! ;) When you get it, take it over and park it at Performance Offroad, it will make Nicky jealous. :D He might even rethink his Sammi rebuild!

That jeep left the assembly so full of hope to one day be a bad*** off roader. Now the poor thing probably hangs its head and wonders where it went wrong.
