Back in the day, we used to buy warranty for one tire. Whichever tire blew is the one we'd use it on. Then they started listing serial numbers and charging for all 4... :(

I can relate another good experiance with MAX4X4.
I had a serious deathwobble problem. I was only able to have Kevin look at it after work one day (about 6 o'clock in fact) he found the loose track bar mount (after market Super lift style, couldn't move it by hand, but while driving it moved ......)
Kevin took the time to diagnose, then fix it so I could make it home.
Thanks Kevin!

I have been having a problem with getting my diff angle correct, I din't have the right tools, and i had been measuring atr the wrong point on the driveshaft (hey I at least tried to follow directions) Kevin showed me the proper points, and even spent 45 minutes getting the pinion angle right.
Thanks Kevin!

He must have been in a better mood those days. Wasn't on painkillers, had workers there to help, hadn't been to the emergency room recently, etc.... did I forget any?

I could actually go on, and thats just me. Some people are too quick to have "keyboard courage" and go cry and whine online when things don't go perfect the first time around.
Thats why they call it life, grow up, stop whining.
The guy from the other post bashing Kevin is just the latest of those who get off publicly crying about how they were "done wrong".
If I recall correctly, he was getting a new set of 37" MTRs for the price of showing up, and that included mount and balance. He shows up at the end of the day by his own admission, and when Kevin can't perform a small miracle on cue, he falls down and has tantrum. (online too)
He has been offered recompense for his loss, but instead chose to get on stage and project his childish angst to the world, (oh pity me! I am amongst all men most miserable!).
I couldn't agree more.
You have now obtained what you chose by going th low road.
Whiner. Get over it.
I for one feel great sympathy for all of the Business owners who inspite of their treatment by many on this board still offer us free advice, discounts, amd the occaisional roadside help when they can, just for a small bit of good press.
Here's to you, all of you,
Thank You!
I would not presume to speak for all the others on this board, but I do personally beleive theres more good experiances than bad, and if they were fairly examined wthout bias, we would find just miscomunication.
I think I'm done now.:D

I gave Kevin the opportunity by calling him to make it right, he didn't want to work it out. Refused to get on the phone. So I guess I have "keyboard courage" and "phone courage". Kevin lacks the "phone courage" I guess.
My post was just to give fair warning to anyone considering doing business with Kevin. That's all.

Kevin more then did right for me when i had 1 of the tranny lines went.....yes a CJ w/auto trans. Well it blew out on Deer Valley by my office and i limped it to his shop. He droped me off at my office and called me later and said he fixed the line it was a quick easy fix.....charged me nothing more then a hand shake!!!
We all have off days, i work in IT and have 425-440 users that i support with 23 offices. We're coast to coast, i get calls on my cell at 3 am at times. Email server is down SAP wont let us log in Mapping server offline. I have about 3500 people (with outside work crews)that count on us in the IT Dept.
364 days i have a smile on my face i love what i do thats why i do it!! But theres the 1 day!!!!! and WE ALL have it (my $0.02)
I'd go back to Kevin with out even thinking twice

I have completed multiple transactions with Kevin, no complaints here.
I have also dealt with Ben and he seems to be a reasonable guy.
It's a coin toss.
I'm Happy with Kevin.

There's a shot of me working on KnetAZ's heap at MAx 4X4. We both worked on installing our Nth degree lifts with Kevin. He opened his doors to us and enabled us to be lifted, at a loss to his shop. My Heap took up shop space as we awaited parts and he made next to nothing. I did my install work when sick, because I needed to get it done. Well, I got Kevin sick and he didn't complain. When I needed a tie rod replaced prior to Moab this year, Max 4x4 stepped up. I was able to drop off my rig for the work and Kevin let me take his Harley, as a loaner. Now, I wouldn't think that most folks would do that.
I know Kevin. His motto is that no one should leave upset or disappointed. I know that he wants to make things right for everyone. I also know that no one can make everybody happy, all of the time. Its ashame that people can't always be made happy and that sometimes folks just rub each other the wrong way.
I don't have a problem supporting Max 4X4.

Yeah, you forgot your chocolate and Midol. Jeez.
Kevin is a stand up guy. Get over yourself. All this cuz you had to drive across town. Apparently that time was precious, but all the time you have spent whining about it is a free-be.
Thanks for sharing.

Girls, girls, get over it. Benjie baby....just let it rest, it looks like you are stalking the threads to maintain your anger over something that didn't go quite right for whatever reason. Every one knows by now that you are unhappy. Is there anything that will make you feel better? PM me and I will see if I can work it out for you? Seriously. I did see the post that states you are happy? The original text in this post (that I can't delete) was created before I saw that. If you are over it, then great.
