View Full Version : Simply Offroad XJ Protection Install

I just installed a set of Simply Offroads XJ Body Protection and it was easy to do....

First off this is what the 98XJ looks like with out the panels and after I removed the trim. I used de-natured alcohol to remove the glue, and it was a pain in the ARSE...

Next I used a set of Harbor Freight pinch clamps that I picked up for around $7. I used them to hold the panels in place while I drilled the 3/16" holes and placed the Aluminum rivets.

Do yourself a big favor and pick up a good rivit gun, it will make the job go alot easier. I got this one from Home Depot along with the aluminum rivets.

I went with the longer rivet because of some door body damage I had and wanted to cover up.

The install went problem free with NO SNAGS and was WELL WORTH IT.

I think this is a great looking and SOLID product.

looks great geno.....................I tried to install those on mine, but they weren't going to fit anymore after I shredded my doorsides.........we were able to get the rear quarter panels install after some BFH pursuasion from Dave O'
