I have the old azvjc site working for now use www.sosnws.com to access it. There are some things that are still not working mostly the gallery stuff. It appears the trails, trips, and for sale stuff is working

You might want to change the "Webmaster" email link or remove the link all together, for now.

Weird not seeing it for a long time and poof there it is. Thx.

It let me login and still has my trip history. That's a good thing. Thanks, Harry.

FYI...

I tested adding a for sale entry in the Classified and got the following error (all input fields contained values)....

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'AddID', table 'AzVJCDB.dbo.dat_ForSale'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

No apology necessary...you done good. Get some rest and deal with it when you have time. Just the fact that the site is online again is a feat in and of itself :)

FWIW - likely related to the classified error...

Tried to add the Santan Freeway Opening as a run and got the following similar error (again all input fields contained values, none were NULL)...

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'EventID', table 'AzVJCDB.dbo.dat_Events'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

The same trail database exists on azbackcountry.com. The site uses the same template as azvjc.org so if you ever can't get to one, try the other.

Jason Thanks
If you just have your page forward to it that would be best for now because I am trying to get my ISP to get me another static IP address right now I replaced my business web site with azvjc web site thats why it has the current domain name sosnws.com. I still have a lot of work to do to get the bugs worked out.

WHy can't you just set up a virtual host and use the same IP address? You can set up an unlimited number of sites on one IP address this way. This of course assumes there's no ssl's involved (which there isn't anyway on azvjc). You can also get around ssl's with virtual hosts if you have the ssl listening on a port other than 443.

hharvey - thanks for getting this done, I really appreciate your efforts. It is good to see the old site up and running again.

Jason - Thank you for allowing us to use the azvjc.net, I know you were working on putting up a site the way you wanted it to look and feel, and appreciate you allowing us to use this url as it is much closer to the correct one. Thanks.

For a few reasons
1. I took this on as a tempory little effort solution because Anotony had already been chosen to do I beat him down because he was not working on and then found that he had some issues come up that prevented him from working on it. I felt so bad so I told him I would do this and turn it back over to him. Unless Anotony tells me he does not want to do it this is the plan. I do not intend to steal it away from him.

2. I just changed to this ISP so I could get more bandwidth to handel the traffic from this site and my business server. I ordered a block of Ips from them and they won't have them setup for me for a few weeks because they are adding a new switch to provide more vlans. this IP is tempory and I will have to reconfig things any way

3. This code is kind of dated and is part of the first site, part of the updated site, and now has my changes. I think the code contains a lot of stuff that was required to run on old hosting service - I had started trying to get it to work under a virtual host and kept running into issues because I had to open the securty on my server so much that I just re-moved my business server from this box so I could get the site up as fast as I could My server is a sitting duck right now.

Note: Because I had to put a lot more into this then thought it would take If Anotony decides he does not want to take over I will do it but if I do it will be a new site with the features of the old site. I think it is time to bring it up to 2006 standards going through all of the old code to fix and repair issues is way to much effort and to hard to maintain
